[HELP] Heavy rain particle
I'm looking to do some work involving lots of rain. I've looked through the particle system, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. the rain part is eas to find, but most of the particles are either to little rain, mist, or not showing up at all. I'm trying to get this effect:

Anyone here know a few good pointers in the right direction?

{LINK REMOVED} a heavy rain particle system I have created from the unusual rain effect (e.g. I have increased a lot the number of particles rendered). Just download it into a 'particles' folder (e.g. the one in 'tf_movies'), add that particle in sfm and lock it to the camera position.

Thank you very much! So I just put this in the tf_movies particle folder, or just the "tf" folder?

whichever you want, both work. Don't forget to lock its position to the camera after adding it.
I actually haven't tried locking a particle onto the camera before. Would making a camera element then locking the particle onto the camera work like locking weapons to models and such?

it depends on the particle system. Usually rotation of the particle is not affected (and that's what I've chosen to do with my rain particle : the 'wind' should keep blowing in the same direction), but position usually follows the parent movement. Overall : yes, it works, but remember to move the slider in and out the shot time window in order for the particle to refresh its position

Do you still have the link for that heavy particle effect?
Don't know if we're still doing this, but I'm wondering if I can get a similar effect from the Darkblaze and Hellfire particle effects? Trying to replicate that "Fire and Brimstone" or the "Hell on Earth" effect in pictures and perhaps upcoming videos.
