A text conversation, which I have for years on linux forums, calling them apps. And if I was an aberration, I wasn't alone.

I never said people had coversations mentioning "apps". People don't have conversations about asterisk-nix either, but it's a thing in text.

Not on *nix. They called applications apps, first. That's where the current mainstream took the lingo from, but pedantry aside...

If you're talking about the PC Steam client, you need to click on your user name on the upper right and then settings.

I don't think you read what I wrote. I know it's in the browser but it's not in the steam app.

I heard about the platform selection options in the settings. I have enabled Linux only in these settings. THe thing is that I only found those settings in the browser account, not the steam app. So I'm wondering about a couple of things: 1. Are these settings in the steam app? 2. If you enable them in the browser account, does that still translate to sending the wishlisting platform feature in the steam app?

Well the only one I see there is Bioshock Infinite, so at least that's 1. The rest are old arcade ports, which usually run horrible and much better running in other emulators, or old game ports which are or which run better on stand alone open source engines.

Most PC games just stay at the menu if you start them and do nothing. You remember how in many console games, if you left it on, something happens, such as story and/or it shows a demonstration of gameplay? I'm looking for linux compatible steam games that are this way. Can you name some?

Why not SF 5? The topic was locked, and it's well known that Capcom is very much against Linux. Japanese game devs as a whole are the same way. It's a futile effort. Most of those devs would only be dragged kicking and screaming to Linux, only once it was obvious that they were losing profits by not doing it.

edit: I just saw the date on this thread. I guess SF5 wasn't out, yet. Still, not gonna happen.
