FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS:

• Participants will be now "removed" from the tournament and only captains remain as the representants of each team.
• The preview of the format of the tournament will be available shortly after this announcement.
• The start of the tournament will be announced together with the launch of O.i tournament server.
(Matchmaking and maps will be confirmed at this point.)

• Teams are responsible for agreeing on a time and date for their matches. At least one administrator must be present.

SELECTED FORMAT:

Group stage:
Every team plays all the other teams ONCE (= 9 matches/team).
Counting wins as 2pt. – ties 1pt. - loses 0pt.

Final stage:
Top 4 teams move to semi-finale where it’s 1 elimination (lost = out).
Finale between two teams is the best of 3 matches (losing team chooses map).

We're happy to announce our very first tournament.

This marks the beginning of continuous, repeated competition on our new Official Competitive Server. This server will provide extra features to support the competitive spirit different from our casual servers, such as:

• Ready up at the start of every round
• Option to pause the game
• Password protected connections
• No support of addons
• Balance tweaks and more..


You may sign up through discord, facebook or email. This process is necessary for all players who participate in the Tournament.

The username is changeable, but it is advised to pick similar ones you are most known for.

Registration period will last up to one week. After this date, the registration will be closed, and administrators proceed to choosing Captains.

Registration is for 24 players (aka 6 teams). Once this quota is filled, the next players are registered into a waiting list. For every 4 players on the waiting list, the quota is raised.

Captains are selected by the administration team, once registration process is completed. Captains' responsibility is to select 3 players to form a team.

Right now, we anticipate that this competition will be so called “Round Robin” style, where each team plays every other team 3 times on 3 different maps.
The competition format may differ, depending on the number of registrations.

For winners of tournaments (lasts until next tournament):

• Everything VIP has (see below) + more selection of each.
• Special name when entering the server [Champion].
• Access to special commands (!vote, hint command, etc.).
• Their names will be written in a part of a map of their choice.
• Selective custom models for survivors.

Throughout the whole duration of the tournament, we will be looking for our Most Valuable Player.
This player is not selected only by winning matches or scoring the most points, but through multiple additional variables, so this might be awarded even to someone from losing teams!

Just for MVP of the tournament (lasts until next tournament):

• Everything VIP has (see below) + more selection of each.
• Special name when entering the server [*of their own choice*] and coloured name.
• Access to special commands (!vote, hint command, etc.).
• Draw and add object(s) to a map. (This is a permanent, even when next tournament starts.)
• Selective custom models for survivors.
• Access to silence, gag, kick.


This feature will be for players who support our community and servers through donations, and we appreciate them so very much.

VIP players will have:

• Special name when entering the server [VIP].
• Access to writing their own greeting message, appearing to all players when connecting.
• Kick immunity.
• Access to !pets, !hats, and !dance.

Here's a list of changes made over the weeks.

• Survivors' movement speed now varies with the weapon type they're carrying. Details here.
• Throwables, health items and melee has a default speed of 220 u/s.
• Friendly fire has been enabled with a damage factor of -1 hp per hit.
• Improvement to survivor bot AI.
• Melee swing rates has been adjust for each melee weapon.
• Max incapacitated count has been reduced to 2.
• Update to survivors' buy points. Details here.
• Speed boost by adrenaline now lasts for 13 seconds.
• Crawl speed reduced 25 - > 20.
• Grenade launcher now deals friendly fire damage. Cost 40 > 45 buy points.
• Block several shortcuts.

Infected

• Movement speed for each SI has been adjusted:

- Charger 700 u/s - 600 u/s.
- Boomer 230 u/s > 210 u/s.
- Hunter 300 u/s > 310 u/s.
- Jockey 300 u/s > 265 u/s.
- Spitter 250 u/s > 220 u/s.
- Tank 210 u/s, speed-boost on fire 220 u/s.

• Witch now chases multiple survivors, instead of one. Has a 50/50 chance for finishing off the incapacitated survivor and chasing another one.
• Witch's hp has been reduced, 1600 > 1450.
• Witch now gains a 5% speed boost when on fire.
• Witch now costs 35 buy points with 3 max spawns per map.
• Removed the ability to control witch.
• Tank's hp reduced 8001 > 7000.
• Tank buy spawn limited to 1 per campaign.
• Tank can not be purchased if score difference is greater than 30 percent.
• Tank's director spawn chance per map reduced 40% > 20%.
• Tank has a maximum frustration lifetime of 35 seconds. Once ran out, tank gets taken over by an AI.
• Props for tank has been added across several official maps.
• Disabled tank spawns on the first chapters.
• Added ability for smoker to grab infected mid-air without breaking the tongue.
• Increased tongue's health 100 > 150.
• Added glow for charger's objects when in range.
• Reduced charger's jump 2 > 1.
• Removed charger's "Karma" sound effect.
• Boomer's claw now deals a damage of 10.
• Boomer's hp increased 175 > 180.
• Reduced hunter's hp 310 > 290.
• Added new spawn spots on every official maps.
• Added infected ladder across various spots on maps.
