The novint website is down, but there is a backup!

It seems that for now at least novint.com is down and with it went all of the free addons for the Falcon. I felt that this was inevitable and had the foresight to make a backup of all the free addons offered on novint.com

Hi, I need some help. I recently found and purchased Novint Falcon, with driver and game disc. I installed the drivers and games, but when I open N VeNT, I get the message 'No Falcon detected or the Falcon drivers do not appear to be installed ". Device manager sees it as "Falcon Haptic(com3" and "universal seial bus controller Falcon Hapti"c, with "This Device is Working Properly" for both instances. The "Novint Falcon" light on the front of the machine is bright. The software is installed in (x86). When I open the Novint Falcon Test Application,moving, and pressing buttons has no response . USB communication status BAD, com thread loop count/update errors # climb. I'm running windows 10.

Hello, I know I am a year late, but if you or anyone else continues to experience these issues here is my proposition.

First of all make sure you have connected the falcon to your PC and that the external power is plugged in, the falcon will be recognized and light up without power but ultimately will not work.

2. Make sure you have installed setup.falcon.v4.0.28.0_100707 (can be found in the link above)
3. Install setup.F-gen_1.0.0.0_100818
4. Open F-gen as an admin, give it a second and it should ask you to calibrate the falcon, if that does not work, check the power.

Also, I noticed that running the test utility with f-gen open will flash "bad" so close f-gen first and you might get a different result.
