Installing NR 2003:
1- Load NR2003 in your disk drive (the actual CD, a disc image, or a .exe) and select install
2- Select folder destination and enter your serial number for installation
3- Run the v1.2 update, and install to same NR 2003 directory
4- Run the Config.exe
5- Load the game to make sure it works



Improving the graphics:
Go to your NR 2003 installation folder, and open the Core.ini file with Notepad. Then look for these parameters and enter the values below:

• CacheSize=14194304
  
• MaxBlockSize=524288
  
• PoolSize=524288

Then save.

Next, find Rend_dxg.ini. Locate and alter the following:

• AnisotropicLevel=0
  
• TextureSetSize=-1

Then save.

Next, go to the players folder, and look for your player.ini file in your active profile folder. Locate and alter the following:

• car_detail=2
  
• draw_ahead_distance=100
  
• draw_behind_distance=100
  
• enable_CarMegaShader=1
  
• enable_ShadowVolumes=1
  
  
• render_speed_weight=0
  
• texture_quality=100
  
• import_textures_with_compression=0

Then save.

Now, go to your graphics card Control Panel. There, set Anti-Alias and Anisotropic Filters to the highest values (unless your system is very old, you will be ok), and Texture Filtering to Clamp. Make sure V-Sync is OFF, and Frames Ahead = 1.

Now, run the game normally. It's good to revisit these files to make sure the game hasn't changed any back.
