Rules & NWC Qualifying Process
Team Names
  • Each team must include in its name an existing country of our world in any language.
  • Any country can be chosen by anybody for any race of players and a country name (in any form) can be used any number of times.
  • "Non official" countries, that is stateless peoples or nations, can also possibly be chosen - without excess "regionalism".
  • As a reminder, a team's name (or players' names) containing any racist connotation will not be admitted in the League.
If you are uncertain, you can still ask about the compliance of your team's name.

Qualification for the New World Cup [NWC]
2 ways to access to the NWC [32 tickets available]
  • 2 successive Open Tournaments, each offering 8 tickets to the 8 first teams of the ladder(Your team have to play at least 10 matches AND no more than 30 matches in order to claim a ticket - see below).
  • 4 successive tournaments of 16 teams offering 4 tickets each and corresponding to the 4 continental zones : Europe ; America ; Africa ; Asia (including Oceania). These tournaments are opened to the teams already registered in the open tournaments or to new ones, under the condition that the country in their name pertains to the corresponding zone.

Number of teams & Limitation
  • Maximum 3 teams per coach in EACH Open Tournament.
  • Maximum 1 team per coach in EACH Continental Tournament.
  • Maximum 2 tickets per coach. Technically you can get 10 tickets (3 in the Open Tournament n°1, 3 in the Open Tournament n°2 and 1 in each Continental Tournament if you create a new team). Therefore if you get more than 2 tickets, you shall pick out two teams and the remaining tickets will be redistributed to the teams that have finished in the same tournament just out of the top 8 or top 4.

Number of matches & Limitation
If you plan to get a ticket, look at the following points :
  • Top 4 of a Continental Tournament or Top 8 of an Open Tournament.
  • Played at least 10 matches and no more than 30 qualifying matches in ALL Tournaments
  • Forfeits are included in matches count
  • In Continental Tournament the NWC ticket can be obtained after 10 or 12 matches (3 in the first round + 3 in the second round + 2 or 3 in semi-final + 2 or 3 in final or 3th and 4th place, the final phase being in best of 3 games).
As a consequence, a team can enter the open tournament and then be registered to its corresponding continental one under the condition that it has played in the first one at most 18 matches.
