How to view a Demo

G'day all, many of you might have already watched the Review video of Killionaire with commentary of Mr.Paladin, i'm gonna explain how you can watch a DEMO video.

As we all know, Valve's Casual and Competitive Matchmaking servers don't have Replay enabled.
But EVERY single match you played, either if it's MvM, a Community server or a slight second game,.. will always be auto-recorded in your DEMO folder in your TeamFortress2 Directory.
The game may look defirent, since the Demo Playback system has its own FPS & FOV view.
EVEN if you have a custom FPS animation or skins like a weapon animation overhaul, they will show in the Demo.
Now let's get down to bussiness, how exactly do i watch a video i played in the past?

Step 1. Go to your TF2 MainMenu and press "Shift + F2", a Demo playback window will pop up on your screen:

Step 2: Click on "Load" and browse to the "Demos" folder:

(It will load abit depending how many DEM. files your DEMO folder has)
Step 3: Find the match you wanna review.
WARNING: make sure you check the date, if you think: "I played a great match yesterday" then find the match of yesterday looking to that Date!!:

Goodluck all.
Whenever you lagged in that game, will be also recorded in that video, but it will mostly be just your character freezing.

How to send it to people or record it?

Recording is a whole other problem, actually you just need a recording program and record it while you are watching it.
To actually send it to other people (maybe in this case: Mr.Paladin) You just need to go to the Teamfortress2 directory which is located in:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf and in there you will find the Demos folder and then you just need to find the DEM. and send it to the person, i do not know yet how to share files with others.

For that use your Friend Google maybe on how to share files on Discord.

it is best if you upload the .DEM file to a cloud file share like google... then send the link.

Demo's can be found in the Windows file path C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf

scroll down to the bottom (beneath the folders.) Theres a lot of stuff in there!

To record a demo:

While in a tf2 server, open your console using the tilde key "~". its located right above TAB.
If this doesnt work, go to advanced options and select enable developer console.

Second: type record name demo
NOTE: name can be replaced with anything, it will become the name of your demo file later.

Now exit the console and play!

To stop recording, go back to the console and type stop

I think you can toggle it in advanced settings to make every match auto recorded.

Better do what Mr.Paladin said and notify him on Discord.
