Retrieve account if you lost Recovery Code "R#####"

Finally someone found a solution which bypass the support ticket.
The only things you need are:
- access to the e-mail of the account
- access to the phone number attached to that account (you must have one attached or it won't work).

I need my authentication code beginning with R*****,I have sent a support ticket with proof of ownership and it has been 11 days now and still nothing.

Not working for me. :(
I fully uninstalled (even deleted the registry entries and restarted the computer), but it's still giving me the newer web-based recovery options instead of the old one.

I've emailed Steam support 8 days ago with no reply so far..

I tried that, but it's not giving me the option to send an SMS code.

Been waiting 18 days so far, and not a single response on my Steam support ticket..

Unless you have previously registered a phone you won't get the SMS option.

Ohh, I assumed the mobile app would've tied them together. Guess I'm stuck hoping Steam Support replies within a year. :<

When you register the app you have the otpion to link your phone to Steam. It wont link it unless you expressly enabled that during the setup.
