Ancient Conquest Installation
Download via this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzYAR4xwF3hQUG96ZHZoaFdoVk0/view?usp=sharing

Unpack the file.

For steam:

Run the installer.

Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\
This will create a new folder called "Ancient Conquest"

Allow the setup to run until finish as this will unpack the files.

Do not allow the installer to start the game after it is finished.

Choose whichever kingdoms campaign you play the least

Name that campaign something else (i.e. Crusades --> CrusadesNormal) and rename the "Ancient Conquest" folder to Crusades (or the name of whichever folder you renamed)

You can now run AC through the launcher by selecting the campaign you replaced. Have fun!

NOTE: THIS MOD IS FOR PBEM CAMPAIGNS ONLY USING AUTO RESOLVE, THERE IS CURRENTLY NO BATTLES FEATURE SUPPORTED.

I am running it from the Ancient Conquest folder in Program files/SEGA directory by creating a desktop icon from the executable CFG file in the Mod folder itself. That way I don't need to run it off Steam but I appreciate I could maybe do that too.

Note: You need a CD disc version of Kingdoms to run this off the SEGA directory (which is where the game wanted to save to automatically). You seem to have installed to Steam, is that right? I guess if you do, you don't need a disc assuming it runs in Steam?

Seems you can configure this mod two ways.

:) I was hoping you would post your process in here, Dark Angel. Thank you.

umm what program did you use to unpack it?

Well as the link itself reads 'dropbox' I will give you three guesses. :)

http://www.7-zip.org/

7zip is also a great free program that unpacks any sorts of compressed files.
