Oh, I hope it isn't complicated. I just figured considering you're selling a "digital knife", if you get messed around by someone trying to buy from you, it might be a good idea to think ahead what you would say to the police if you need their help.

Some ppl do silly things for in-game items.

Be careful! Make sure you do the transaction in a safe space! And if you need to deal with police non-emergency, make sure they know this is a digital goods item and not a real life knife (that could complicate things).

We are still evaluating this. Cache is likely, uncertain about Vertigo (saw some concerning visibility stuff recently).

$60 is us already lowering the price, for a two day long event it's hard to do cheaper than that :/ not sure if that'll be feasible.

Renting space for events in Calgary hasn't come down at all with the market downturn.

Hey Shrunken Ned, thanks for the feedback! I'd like to hear a few more things from you if you're game.

1. When you refer to the cost in your second from last post, which event was that, and what did you pay? We have different pricing, and I want to understand what your perspective is here.
2. Posters, for the Nov LAN we were hoping to run, we had posters up at Sentry Box, Phoenix Comics NW, SW, SE, Ogre's Den, The Node, Video Game Trader N, S, Dicken's Pub, Boogie's Burgers, and UofC. We meant to hit MRU but missed that, and SAIT has weird poster rules so that's been mixed for us. We're always trying to find new good poster spots, so we welcome ideas around that. :)
3. Pizza prizing, I think I like the sound of that...
4. Unfortunately we stopped using Lakeview for reasons beyond our control. :(
5. We're interested in doing Rocket League stuff too, but I think we need to get creative with how to include it to grow a crowd around that. How many others do you know would be interested in RL stuff?

@accidental 4Kame, there are no age requirements for the event, but if you are under 18, your parent/legal guardian will need to personally sign the event waiver. 1. For those under the page of 18, your parent/legal guardian will need to sign our waiver at check-in for the event. If there are concerns around this, please reach out to me directly so we can address them.
2. All the tournaments are included in the event ticket. We have online advance payment (prepay), as well as at the door, however please keep in mind the price changes based on when you buy your ticket, and at the door is typically the most expensive ticket (because we want people to prepay instead). If you buy at the door, it is functionally the same ticket as prepay, just costs more, based on our current ticket options. We are working to have more options in the future.
3. The latest public information will ALWAYS be on our website, lanified.com . In addition to that, we periodically announce all kinds of stuff on our mailing lists, and you can sign up for the list on the bottom of the page of lanified.com. This is a Canadian Anti-SPAM mailing list we run, as we want to make sure our promotions are legaly compliant, and only reach people that are genuinely interested. We also have a twitter account.
4. If you want to prepay, you will need a LANified! account. This account is re-usable from one event to the next. We do not ask for personal information (name, age, etc) for our accounts, as a security precaution.
