Honestly, it's really not that complicated. People just overcomplicate their explanations.
King Crimson activates, it sees everything that will happen in the next 10 seconds, it can then erase a portion of these 10 seconds, making it so some of the stuff it sees don't actually happen, going from the moment before the stopped time, to the moment after, with no effect e.g. King Crimson sees someone shooting it, it activates, erases the portion of time where the bullets hit, and it seems to others as if the bullets teleported past him, leaving KC and its user unscathed.
