#1 I use a modified version of Higan that opens smc files for simpler opening- search for 'higan modified open smc'.
#2 an even older version of higan/bsnes is buillt into mednafen that also works with smc files. It works with some of the trickier roms like starwars that snes9x has sound problems with, plus can add scanlines and nny4 nearest neighbour scaling through mednafen for lovely quality. Mednafen often is overlooked for snes because its an older version but its really good for most people in my opinion.
Personally I use mednafen and manually alter for roms like indiana jones that are helped by higan (the edited version referred to above).
Hope this helps. I had trouble setting up higan directly so these are alternative, easier fixes.
And then I was able to get it running using:
"C:\Emulators\higan_v096-64bit\higan-accuracy.exe" "C:\Users\danie\Emulation\Super Famicom\Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island (USA).sfc"
However I don't know how to make it start in fullscreen if that is even possible. Any way of doing that?
You can add it in ice, e.g:
[retroarch_snes]
location=H:\Media\EmulatorGames\Frontends\Retroarch\retroarch.exe
command=%l -f -L H:\Media\EmulatorGames\Frontends\Retroarch\cores\bsnes_mercury_accuracy_libretro.dll %r
Retroarch is very good, the only major stumbling block is that you have to use x and z for enter and backspace without any prompting, and download the cores from within the program itself. I watched a 10 minute Youtube video to set it up, and it was worth it.
