Machinima is deleting older videos. Plans to bringing them back on the main channel?
Tad bit late to this, huh? I'm sure some of you are already aware of it, but for those who aren't I'd just like to spread awareness to the topic. Not that I expect many to see it.

I've already contacted David on as many social media sites he's apart of about the issue 3ish months ago (but not the myspace account). No response, but don't go around harassing the guy or any other members of the Icton group about the issue, please.

Anyway, I'll be very on and off here, but I'll check in every so once in a while to make sure there are any comments need replied to. I do get to things eventually, that's a promise.

Well, yes, they brought back the Profound Moments in L4D, 100 Ways to Die, as well as the Ictonington series, but there were other videos they made for Machinima that were not brought over such as Sexy Russell.

Actually, I just checked and someone reuploaded Sexy Russell a month ago! Cool! However, the bloopers are still lost. I'm going to link the video: https://youtu.be/Tu3YyvQgOEw

Granted, I do think he retrieved the better videos of the bunch as I'm pretty sure hardly anyone's going to remember the Garry's Mod Machinima Tutorial series except for its intros. I made sure to see if it was still there and episode 1 is, but I can't find the rest of the series due to being privated or perhaps unlisted (the lesser of the 2 evils).

I've had this conversation on the Icton Reddit and this is basically the reasoning behind what I'm getting at: "Old videos are disappearing, that sucks because I want to share them with my friends, new and old." That's the gist anyway.

And yeah, I'd like to see David back. I'd be up for any shenanigans be it live stream or video.
They took down 100 ways to die?! Wow... I, along with Jsk2003, did all the "acting". It was crazy. Long before the days of actual spacial effects, we'd just "bind k kill" and get reshoot after reshoot of us doing something and hitting k. Good fun, albeit fucking tedious. I miss those days.

Well, if you haven't heard about Machinima taking down all of its videos without discrimination, let me be the first to tell you that they did earlier this year. Can't say I saw that coming with their acquisition from Warner Bros., but I really should have expected it. No notice of it, either. They shut down an era of YouTube videos in one fell swoop.

Not like all hope is lost. I'm sure there are plenty of random fans of certain videos saved somewhere and Machinima may still have those videos. However, it is of this time lost media. Not sure how many videos have been reuploaded (I haven't had time to research it myself).

Example being I'm sure no one wants to see a video like Counter Strike for Kids wiped off the face of the planet (which is preserved as you can still find it on YT). It's an odd twist to see people who just copied the video and posted it on their channel may be to thank for saving classic videos, crediting the people who made it or not.

Also, thanks for the insight about how those videos were made. I just recently saw a blooper reel of the behind the scenes of Half Life: Full Life Consequences that I somehow missed all these years. I find these details very interesting, inspiring, and help me figure out how everything was done.

I thank you all for the laughs and great times you gave me and plenty others. Maybe even in the years to come. Dead or not, I still find the shenanigans this group does to be hilarious https://youtu.be/P8x7nT36VZw

I've been considering doing a "how it was made" video series detailing how some of the more technical stuff was done in our videos. There's a couple of scenes I've done that I still find fascinating X years later.

I'd very much like to see that! Of course, I'm a psychotic madman who's been subbing to almost any SFM/Gmod animation channels I can find for the past few months (not recommended, YouTube doesn't let one sort their subs out). Good luck if you decide on making them!
