Sounds nice. Ill definetly try Minecraft when my Vive arrives.
I did find another guide on how to get it going with mods but haven't tried that yet as it means another full installation.
So i tried out Minecraft yesterday and have to say that its totally awesome. One of the best Games for the Vive so far.
After a few hours of trying i got it to work with the famous Life in the Woods Modpack. I had to change a few things because it wouldnt work if you just installed Life in the Woods.
So i made a rar file with all of my changes and share it here for those interested. Every Mod from the pack is in there with the exception of Optifine and Shaders cause these two dont work with the Vive Mod. All mods work without Minecraft crashing. But i played with it yesterday for 1 hour only. So there could be Mods that maybe dont work well with the Vive( Mods with Text for example). I will play more today and when someone finds a Mod that doesnt work well with the Vive it would be good if you let me know so i can take that one out if necessary. I will see that the rar file is up to date. :)
Installation:
1) Follow the steps here to install the Vive Mod (IMPORTANT: When you install the Vive Mod check the Box: Install with Forge) https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/4f5upo/minecraft_for_vive_in_vr_is_our_first_aaa_title/
2) Get the rar file here: h ttp:/en.file-upload.net/download-11577420/MinecraftViveModsMC1.7.10andForge10.13.4.1614.rar.html
3) Unpack the rar file to: .minecraft/mods

No i didnt get any jitters so far in Minecraft.
Yeah you must have a good CPU because of java. I have a i7 980 Extreme (6 physical and 6 virtual Cores) overclocked @ 4 GHZ.

If you have a second computer or a root server you could run your minecraft world as a server. That helps alot cause your PC doesnt have to deal with generating chunks and shit. :P
But i dont know how many mods run on mp. But if you have jitters with minecraft/vive without mods that could be a good way to solve the problem.
Minecraft on Vive is pretty unplayable for me due to the weird jitter I get. No idea what causes it but it's as annoying as hell. I get a small jump every 5 or 10 seconds like a loss of tracking.
1.7.10 is still considered to be one of the stable builds for mods but so dated now that it is also stagnated
i may play with slightly more mods then the average person though lol
