Win10 - Tried Every Fix Posted So Far - Can't get game to work.

I tried all the Fullscreen 1080p fixes here, and I have installed the 1.487 patch properly. I still can't get it to work. Any other newer fixes known as of right now?

PS. Holla if anyone remembers me from back in the day on GiantsWD and gang. ;)

Update - I had my old GOG version still, that works just fine.. but doesn't allow 1080p fullscreen still. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Anyway. Its strange that none of the fixes seem to work. Especially since you followed the guides.

Also. What guides did you follow? 1.497 install guide on the official giants steam page? The 1.497 patch should be able to be installed normally on the gog.com version.

The patch is not compatible with any of the other patches other than 1.0 1.1 and 1.4.

Hey Tig, I do remember you! It's crazy to think some of us are still here, and it's cool.

So what happened was I did a full reinstall of the Steam Giants, then followed the patch instructions for it, and it worked once, then went to black screen again and wouldn't work after that.

I installed the GOG version seperately from steam, installed the patch, and it works just fine.

I will keep trying with the steam version since I bought it haha, and I'll join the discord once I get discord downloaded again.

Good to hear! We've been working hard for the past three years to get this communtiy going again. Nice to see you got the game kinda of working now! Steam version is weird. We've spoken to Tasiin about it and he thinks Steam added some of their own code or changed up some files.

Our Discord is the most active part of the community at the moment, where the most active players reside these days.
