The strange screen resolution method:
I would like to share the most elegant solution for "fixing" the color issue with you (it works for 100% on my Win7 64bit). There is no need for further registry editation, horrible explorer killing or weird compatibility settings. It could be used for other "old games" also, I guess.

Here is the magic recipe which should be done before each start of GOC:

1.) Right-click at any empty desktop area to bring out the menu.
2.) Select Screen Resolution.
3.) Select Advanced settings. Another window will be opened.
4.) Select Monitor tab and leave it open.
5.) Run the game.

One remark: Of course the other players have to load the same game as the host!

Hello Guys! I think i found out how loading a multiplayer save game works! (currently only tested in LAN):

Steps to load the game: Game master opens up game via "Load Game" in Multiplayer Menu. All other Players then also have to select "load game" in Multiplayer Menu and join automatically. DONT join via "join" as you do when joining a new game, the "save games are not the same" message will appera.

I guess since you cant select a connection method, the IP at least of the host has to be the same! Hope it works for you guys too!

Awesome!!! All thanks to this group I managed to buy the game from GOG and fixed the Windows 10 problem and my game works. Took me like 10 minutes. Easy!!!

how can i get this game to work for windows 10?

having trouble hosting, do you use somthing like hamachi\tungle? or forward any ports? my friend and I were trying for hours last night
