As you know this group isn't what most would call "active". At the time of creation, many people on Gamespot called for a group and I rushed to create the first one.

While I'm not able to provide a community server; I don't expect anyone should. With the new matchmaking system should making joining games as a team less painful.


Whatever happens; expect a surge of activity when the new content releases.

The new Left 4 Dead content is coming out Tuesday, April 21. Free to both Xbox and Steam users, the content will contain the much anticipated Versus Mode Maps for Death Toll and Dead Air. Along with the versus mode maps comes the new Survival Mode, which in all respects is similar to Gears of War 2's Horde Mode. Survival Mode comes with 12 maps; 11 of which are taken from the previous maps Crescendo Moments. However, survival mode has one new map that takes place in a lighthouse. The PC will also receive the SDK for Left 4 Dead and be able to more easily create maps and mods.

The official Left 4 Dead blog[www.l4d.com] explains more thoroughly the purpose and balancing of the Survival Mode. Round are supposed to last less than ten minutes and the amount of zombies killed is supposed to outnumber the amount killed during an entire campaign. Frightening is the fact that at the 10 minute mark Tanks will spawn every 45 seconds and at 15 minutes Tanks will spawn every 10 seconds. Keep in mind that multiple tanks can be out at once.

The Source Engine isn't as cutting-edge as it used to be, but it still impresses with detailed environments, amazing lighting, and the fact that it can throw zombie hordes at you with ease.

An immersive audio system with plenty of solid voice work and a dynamic music system. You'll learn to dread the sound of a witch crying or a tank approaching.

Left 4 Dead is quite possibly the perfect co-op shooter. It's an absolute blast to play with others, though the single-player mode feels a bit hollow.

Incredibly replayable and the Versus mode is also fun, but the small number of scenarios may feel limited to many. 9.0
