I operate the Grande Forest and Leadville railway. "Grande Forest" for short. ('Grande' is pronounced 'grand,' "Leadville" is a town named after the toxic metal 'lead.')
My railroad is Rio Grande Mk II (original, I know) and operates on the old DRGW tracks in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado that have since been abandoned by Union Pacific. I consider my railroad to be a Class 2, which hauls mostly freight, but operates excursion trains through the mountain passes, as well as two ski trains; One from Denver to Aspen, and another from Denver to Veil.
The fleet consists of mostly EMDs, with a small number of GE's.

Name: Ashland Sunset & Northern Railroad
Rolling stock: freight service mostly coal, oil, scrap and other
Operating area: AOH_RR and SunsetGulch primarily with a few branches all over GMod
Number of locs: 2 for now xD.. dont judge me, after 5 yrs of trenbuilding i decided to make my first pvt RR a few days ago so ye..
Date of founding: January 2019
Prefered Locomotive Manufacturer: EMD all the way with a few ALCOs GEs and MLWs
Some more info: in the making...
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1641106252
CEO: Priority#6
Rolling stock: Passenger and freight, mainly freight though
Main operating Area: The Kahuna subdivision (Where Kahuna, Blackrock, and Crystal Lake are)
Locomotives: If they were IRL, 1000, but in gmod, probably only about 20-30 [to lazy to count] (and counting)
Prefered Locomotive manufacturer: EMD/GMD/EMC
History: BR&CL was set up in the late 30s with a light freight service (with an EMD FT loco) from Blackrock -> Crystal Lake -> (usually) Wolfram. As time went on, they built up their fleet and their trackage rights to great lengths!

Fun facts:
1.) All BR&CL's locomotives have been fitted with this mars light ever since it's creation
2.) BR&CL actually owns quite a few foreign locomotives (IE the IORE and X Class locomotives)
3.) The BR&CL numbering scheme goes something like this (Be mindful, I recently came up with this Idea, so not all of my locomotives have it)-
First two numbers is the year it was made in, and the last two numbers is what the production number is
IE- Loco #9999 = It was made in 1999, and it's the 99th locomotive to be made for BR&CL
If a locomotive is from a foreign (not the USA or Canada), the first number will be replaced with an X
Name of owner: The Mechanist
Rolling stock: Various freight stock and pullman passenger coaches (passenger fleet to be expanded)
Operating area: Currently focusing on North America, possible future expansion to Europe
Number of locomotives: 4 + 1 passenger DMU (fleet to be expanded)
Founding date: May, 2018
Preferred locomotive manufacturer: MRN mostly builds their own custom locomotives. However, when we take an existing locomotive to rebuild to our needs or when choosing a prime mover, ALCO is the preferred brand.
General info: We try to deliver goods wherever they are needed even beyond regular transport borders. Right now we are limited to rail transport exclusively but when we expand to non-rail transport this will fully come into play.
MRN: We will get it there, no matter where!

Name of the railroad: Very Illegal Railroad (VIRR)
Name of the owner/owners: SomebodyUnoriginal
Type of rolling stock (what does the RR haul): Tankers, Lumber cars/centerbeams, and passenger service
Operating area: As of currently: Between wolfram and rockfort
Number of locomotives in your roster (be honest on this one :P): Three -
EMD F40PH-2 (OLC Powered) [This pulls freight for some reason]
GE P42DC (OLC Powered) [And yes, this pulls freight too]
EMD GP38-2 (RLCPT Powered)
What year (and if you can remember the month) have you founded your RR: March 2019
Prefered locomotive manufacturer: EMD, GE seconds
Some optional general info or history about the RR: Founded just yesterday, it started when I made a very shitty F40PH powered by OLC. It has no headlights or a proper cab, so I gave it the name of "Very Illegal Railroad". I colored it yellow too, for some reason. I also built a GP38-2 a while back. I also assembled a yellow tanker with the name "banana tube". This is how the "Banana Express" train came to be, which is a tanker train that runs between wolfram and rockfort. Recently, I started hauling lumber from Dragon's Rock to the lumber mill under Wolfram. Every once in a while I'll run a passenger train,\.

Name of the owner/owners: Uncle Phil (CEO), Greggo (former co-owner) and mamarussell the pie (left the company to continue running the C19&SW)
Type of rolling stock: All types of frieght cars and pullman coaches from the steam and streamlined eras.
Operating area: West Coast of the U.S. (California to Vancouver, B.C. including lines east to Denver, Colorado with a connection with the Rio Grande via the Joint Line, and tracks through Arizona making a connection with the Santa Fe at Houston, Texas.)
Number of locomotives in your roster (be honest on this one :P) Around 20-30, the roster is set to expand with new locomotives being redone, or added to the workshop.
What year (and if you can remember the month) have you founded your RR: August of 2016.
Prefered locomotive manufacturer: EMD, GE, ALCo
Some optional general info or history about the RR: The railroad was founded in 1887 and headquartered in San Francisco, CA. It was built with the purpose of competing with the larger Southern Pacific, who controlled practically all of California. By 1936, trackage had expanded North and East making connections with other railroads.

Operation Area: All the track between Kahuna and Rockfort
List of Locomotives: SD40-3, (In a near future: S20-3 (Slug))
In fuction since: i actually created it today, 05/03/2019
Preferred locomotive maker: EMD
History: Its a railroad made to connect freight between Cities. We haul most products made from them, such as water, scrap, food, etc. Interessing fact: its the only railroad that have the SD40-3 on its fleet, winch is the only locomotive model we own, these locos are upgraded with a 710G EMD engine.

Name of owner: Yours truly, ZZ Cat.
Operating area: That little shed in Redwall that's tucked away under Wolfram, right before the tunnel. All locomotives built by Redwall Railworks are tested on the main lines between Wolfram, Dragon's Rock & Rockfort West.
Locomotives that are currently on roster: Everything that I have built from 2017 to now. That is:
FC&N1983, DX5A & SLC-X1.
Year founded: June 2017. Officially opened in February 2019.
Preferred manufacturers: Anything goes. If it exists, no longer exists, or is something completely fictional, I'll build it.
Interesting Trivia: Redwall Railworks isn't technically a railroad, so much as a manufacturer of locomotives that get painted with their own liveries. Most locomotives that are built by Redwall Railworks may be based on their real-life counterparts, however differing in a few subtle ways in favor of practicality.
A notable example of Redwall Railworks' handywork was a Kiwirail SD40-2[scontent.fwlg1-1.fna.fbcdn.net] that ran on the FC&N server midway through 2017.
Redwall Railworks SLC-X1 is my current project. She's a heavily modified EMD SD60, with nose-mounted LIDAR (the LIDAR itself is still under development), Smart Locomotive Controller: Lite Edition, HTCR trucks & the cabin has amples of windows for better driver visibility.
Name of Railroad: Smart Locomotive Controller
Name of owner: Yours truly, ZZ Cat.
Operating Area: Wolfram to Rockfort & everywhere in between.
Locomotive on roster: One heavily modified EMD SD60; callsign is SLC-X1.
Year founded: February 2019.
Preferred manufacturer: If it can run on rails, it gets the SLC livery.
Interesting Trivia: This is the official promotional livery for my "Smart Locomotive Controller" Expression 2 software.
SLC-X1's callsign refers to the fact that she's an experimental locomotive & the first one of her kind, that's built by Redwall Railworks.
See my Redwall Railworks entry for screenshots of SLC-X1.
Name of Railroad: KiwiRail GMod Edition. The GMod version of its real life counterpart.[www.kiwirail.co.nz]
Name of Owner: I own the GMod edition of this railroad. The real life counterpart is owned by the New Zealand Government.
Operating Area: Hauling everything & anything between Wolfram, Rockfort & everywhere in between.
Locomotives that are currently on roster: Three EMD SD40-2s, callsigns are DX5A, DX5B & DX5C. With a new locomotive currently on the drawing board. Watch this space.
Year founded: [GMod Edition: June 2017] [Real life version: July 2008]
Preferred manufacturers: Mostly EMD & GE locos. However, no EMD G8 models or GE U23C/U26C models exist in GMod.
Interesting Trivia: My KiwiRail SD40 was created with the idea of "What if KiwiRail owned & ran SD40s? What would they look like?"
I based my SD40's livery off of KiwiRail's phase 1 livery & used DXB5143 as a reference point.
My main unit's callsign (DX5A) is derived from KiwiRail's DX class of GE U26C locomotives.
Screenies:
DX5A haulin' ass up Sunset Gulch.[scontent.fwlg1-1.fna.fbcdn.net]
Name of Railroad: F.C. & Northern Revival.
Name of Owner: I have no idea of whom owned the original FC&N Railroad. However, I am the owner/maintainer of F.C. & Northern Revival. Do NOT confuse the two.
Operating Area: Wolfram to Rockfort.
Locomotives on Roster: One EMD SD45 & one EMD GP30B. Both of these units are often coupled together, running with the callsign "FC&N1983" & usually haul a whole lotta Maersk intermodal wellcars.
Year founded: June 2017
Preferred manufacturers: EMD.
Interesting Trivia: F.C. & Northern Revivial is derived from the original Flatgrass Construct & Northern Railroad that used to be the FC&N server's flagship railroad.
From what I understand of its history, the orignal owner of this railroad had already departed long before I showed up on server & the railroad itself had been lying defunct until then.
I aim to breathe new life back into this railroad, whilst maintaining its original color scheme.
FC&N1983's Maersk haulage stems from a recurring gag on the FC&N server, that is "Maersk off!"
I have called my version of this railroad "F.C. & Northern Revival" to differentiate from the original railroad.
Screenies:

Rocktonne Rails was founded in 1956 as a means to help the U.S. Military during the Vietnam War
Locomotive Manufacturer: EMD and Alco
When the Vietnam War came around, the demand for materials to build various aircraft and weaponry was high. A Federal Contract was signed between the Company and the Government, stating that we would help transport various cargo, whether it be trucks to bullets. After the loss of the war, the company would partner up with AirDragon Cargo to help deliver Packages and various other materials. We still have a 10 year contract left before we need to renew.

History: Started as the Trainlover Lines RR in November 2016, this railroad went under Pacific Lines until rebranding in 2017, when competition started with the Chicago & Southwestern Railroad. In 2017, while under the name Joliet & Southwestern, the railroad merged with the Chicago & Southwestern to form the Joliet Chicago & Southwestern.
Paint job: deep blue, similar to that of the old FC&N colors.
Name: Prince George & Northeastern (PGNE)
Owner: TransCanadaLimited / BCR North Development Group
Rolling stock: A fleet of heavily modernized and rebuilt passenger stock, and standard regional railway freight fare.
Operating area: Northeastern British Columbia, southwestern Northwest Territories, Canada
Roster: An eclectic fleet of oddball locomotives of various origin. Rebuilds include a group of FP9As rebuilt to F40PH specs (FH9-40u), and a few DC2AC rebuild SD40-2Ws of CN vintage. Several cowl-bodied ET44s (MT44ACL) and a twenty-strong fleet of M420Ws are also rostered, along with some Big Ms, and several models of Geeps and switchers. Two electrified branch lines are operated by a fleet of twelve IORE locomotives purchased secondhand from Sweden. Capping off the roster are a small fleet of heavily modernized Budd RDC derivatives.
Founded: Late 2018 (irl), 2025 (canonically)
Preferred locomotive manufacturer: GMDD/EMD for smaller units, MLW and GE for larger. Most of the fleet has been modified in some capacity by the in-house Trans-Canada Locomotive Works and re-classified accordingly.
History: Founded in the not-far-off future of 2025, when Canada receives a great influx of new population to the rapidly warming far north. To kickstart development of the harsh landscape, the British Columbia and Northwest Territories governments came together to construct a railway from BC Rail's northern terminus in Fort Nelson, through some of the most desolate landscape on the planet, all the way to Yellowknife, NWT, with two electrified branchlines built soon after to reach vast deposits of valuable minerals.
Paint schemes: The two freight schemes are either a deep blue with silver accents, similar to BC Rail's late "Phantom Blue" scheme, or two-tone green with yellow or orange accents from the same railway. Passenger scheme is a direct copy of the Great Northern Railway's classy "Big Sky Blue" scheme.
FC&N Spotting: Watch for the Aurora Limited being hauled by a solid blue FH9 on the mainline!
