Official english PC release is confirmed! I'm going to leave this patch here for people, who own the japanese version and simply want to play it, but for the others - please, support the developer by purchasing the game on Steam.

Hello there, fellow lab members!

I'm here to give you a simple explanation on how to apply an english patch for Steins;Gate 0 on PC. Keep in mind that you still need the game on your computer and before you even ask - no, I will not give you the link to pirated version in this thread, our group does not support piracy.

NEW PATCH FROM COMMITTEE OF ZERO

More options, more translated images, adapted text, easy installation and much more![sonome.dareno.me] I made the installation very simple for you by putting scripts from ps vita version into the archive.

1. Download the archive from google drive, press here[drive.google.com].

2. Unpack it and run SG0-English-Patch-v1.0.exe (note: it plays pretty loud music)

3. Select the main S;G 0 directory which contains "Game.exe", and also select the directory with scripts, which is included in the archive.

4. Check or uncheck additional options and install the patch, after that you will be able to further tune some more options and ready to go!

This patch should work even if installed over the old patch form bellow, it should also be compatible with old saves. It is recommended for the best experience, but I personally never tested it.

OLD PATCH FROM RIKU.KH3

Fewer options, fewer translated images, pretty complicated installation...but it works! Also works for PS3 version! I'm able to include all new translated images from the new patch, but honestly I don't see a reason, just use the new patch. If you really need it - ask me about it.

1. Let's start by downloading the archive from google drive - press here[drive.google.com], latest patch already included.

2. Installing the text, font and movie is very easy - just put the files from "English text patch/PC" into "Steins;Gate 0/Game" folder and replace existing files.

3. Unpack "CG & BG patcher" folder from the archive and open "PC" folder in there.

4. Now open "Steins;Gate 0/Game/USRDIR" and find a file named "bg.mpk".

5. Put this file into "PC" folder from step 3, open its properties and uncheck "read only".

6. Run "sg0_bg_en.bat" and wait a little bit. Now you have patched "bg.mpk", put it back into game directory and replace the old one.

That's it, enjoy the game!

You may also notice that this patch works with PS3 version, installation process is the same, just use "PS3" folders and files instead of "PC".

This is a WIP patch and there still might be things to improve. Not every CG and BG is translated. I will update this thread.

Minor update for text patch+font, mostly fixes cell phone messages. I've already included it into main archive from step 1, but you may also download it separately - LINK REMOVED. Installation is similar to step 2.

Seems to be compatible with old saves, thanks to Burnout6010 for poining that out.

Very minor update. It reduces the distance between the lines so they will no longer intersect with icons. Here is an example before[i.gyazo.com] and after[i.gyazo.com]. Update 20-th(17-th) of December 2016

Micro update, corrects "j" letter and applies previous patch to PS3 version. The delay in updating here was caused by the lack of information/communication from the creator. No more separate downloads, just use steps 1 and 2 to install the fresh version.

Update 15-th of April 2017

Added new patch from Committee of Zero! This patch is recommended for the best experience. I made the installation simple by placing required scripts from ps vita into the archive. Old patch from Riku.kh3 wasn't updated, but I may include in it all new translated CGs from CoZ patch, if someone asks me. It may be useful for PS3 version owners.

Yes, as I already mentioned - it's just an early version and it might be missing some elements. But the script and tips should be fully translated.

hyrule, I don't know about trophies man, but I suppose they will be in japanese. As for pc version - are there some different versions of the game or something? I was pretty sure there is only one.

Well, I'm not entirely sure, but as far as I know PC version is the port of PS3 version.

Edit: looks like I totally misunderstood your question, bro) You need an actual PC version for this patch. There are PS3, PS4, Vita and PC version which is jap only, you need that last one.

Just read it for now, it's completely worth it. We don't even know when the anime adaptation is coming out, or if it's going to be a fully fledged out 24-episodes show.
