Guide to Installing Third Age Total War 3.2
Downloading the Mod
First of all, to play Third Age, you need to download it's three basic components. These will later be extracted into your Medieval II folder.

Third Age Total War 3.0 Part 1
Third Age Total War 3.0 Part 2

and the newest patch:
Third Age Total War 3.2 patch

Now that you have downloaded all of the files, you need to extract them

Extracting the Mod
Double click on or open the installer for Third Age Total War 3.0 Part 1. Go through the installation until it asks you the file location of where you want it to save. Assuming you are playing Medieval II through steam, you should set the file path to something like this: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War.

IMPORTANT: Be very sure that you do NOT select the mods folder within the Medieval II folder. Doing so will create another mods folder and pose various issues.

Now, repeat the same process with part 2 and the patch.

Okay, now pay attention; this is where most people mess up.

Renaming
Your first step should now be to COPY and rename the NEW launcher in your Medieval II folder from "medieval2.exe" to "kingdoms.exe" without the quotes.

A shortcut should now appear on your desktop.

DO NOT USE THE SHORTCUT.

Let me explain. The shortcut works fine for singleplayer, but will crash multiplayer and is not compatible with anyone elses games if you try. The way that works for multiplayer is like this:

Instead of using the deskop shortcut, go to your Medieval II mods folder. Within it you should see americas, british_isles, crusades, teutonic, and then a folder name Third_Age. What you need to do is choose one of the campaigns and rename it to anything else, and then rename the Third_Age folder to that.

Example: I rename teutonic to bla_bla_bla, and then rename Third_Age to teutonic.

IN THIS GROUP WE ONLY USE TEUTONIC, so rename it to teutonic.

Playing Third Age Total War

Wow. You're done. Easy right?

Now, finally, the only reliable way to play Third Age is to launch it by going to your steam library, right clicking on Medieval II Total War, and selecting wichever campaign you renamed your Third_Age folder to. For us it should be teutonic.

Well, thats all. You can now join us in all the fun. We hope to see you online soon.

:steamhappy:
