As you may already know, you have to spend at least $5 on a steam account in order to access community features like adding someone or using the market. I accidentally discovered a way to kind of bypass the whole process. You will still need to spend $5 at first but you will get them back added to your wallet, the community access will stay though:

Just buy a steam game in the steam store for at least $5 from your new (restricted) account. Play it for like 5 minutes :) Then you refund the game. Steam will add your spent money back to your steam wallet and remove the game from the library, but all the community features which you enabled with the purchase of the game will stay.

Hopefully i could help you out :)
as far I know you don´t have to spend 5$ in the store you just have to add them to your account in order to get rid of the limited account. and besides that you also have to buy a thing on the steam store but this doesn´t have to be 5$.

I added all my 12 accounts to my main and they are still restricted, i can trade with them but cant use the market or add someone from this account. The $5 rule only applies if you want to use the market, if you just want to trade you can buy a game for a few cents.

I got 12 extra accounts aswell, I can buy and sell on 3 of them and use the others as storage.

to be able to trade you don´t need to have spend a thing on it, just need steam gaurd enabled for 15 days.

To be able use the steam market you need to have bought a item on the sore withing the range of atleast 30 days an max 1 year, and you need to have added or spend 5$ on steam.

Wow! Thanks for this! Not that I need a second account to have the $5 features but it's good to know :) Also, you could then buy 2 keys with the $5 and trade them back to your main account :)

Ok thanks i wasnt sure if it was spend/add $5. I just created a new account a few hours back and havent bought any game on it. Usually the account appears in the search bar as soon as you buy a game on it. But it wont without buying a game. Am i still able to trade with it after 15 days via trade offer link or do i have to a game sooner or later to add it with my main account?

yes you are able to trade with your other account if you enabled steam gaurd for 15 days, you don´t need to own a game for that or have bought something, but wihout adding the 5$ you can´t add friends from this account you can add that account from your main account but not the other way, there are some more limitations like this.

Also, I have suspicion, if you choose to buy something, some game, it may only require to have original price 5+€ / $ -> so if it is in sale, for example 90%, you may buy that game for only 50 cents. !! BUT !! this info is NOT for sure neither from reliable source. I only know I heard something about this somewhere ...

I don´t think thats true, it probably just counts how many you actually spend or added to steam, not what the price of the games was.
