Get Perfect World Dota now! Invite Link and guide inside

Awesome news guys, you can get access to the Perfect World Dota 2 (including their super fast servers) if you've played 400 hours of Dota 2 (used to be 800)!

Here's how to do it...

1. You need to set up an account at http://www.wanmei.com I think, which required having a Chinese name and ID. I used one from a friend who let me.

2. Go to http://event21.dota2.com.cn/dota2/201306/callback/ and follow the steps. It says it will take 3 days, it just took a couple of hours for me to get activated

3.After that you just go to the Steam Dota 2 launch options and put "-perfectworld" in the text box (without "")

Then you're in. You can't connect to the old regular servers anymore, but these ones don't require 40 minute waits for a game! If you want to reverse all this, just remove the -perfectworld from the launch options.

It's SO much faster to find a game, so it's totally worth doing

UPDATE: You can now get invited by me even if you have less than the required hours!

But I would like to know if in region it's normal that I can only choose between Perfect World Telecom and Unicom? This is the chinese servers?

Yeah if you have -perfectworld in the launch options you can't access other servers. Just delete it to show them again. You also can't access the in-game guide menu, but guides you've already subscribed to will show up.

But I'm not sure as to what limitation I will get by not inputting China ID/name, I just tried 1 game and it work fine though.

Hello everyone, i managed to create a perfect world account just using my phone number. I did not register any chinese id.
After starting the game in PW server, i noticed that playing is possible but the gains are much less to none after 3hours. They say i should provide more information on my account. I assume they are talking about my PW account and chinese id ? is it ?

Are you in China, Halberd? I've been launching PW Dota 2 and regular Dota 2 for years without a VPN.

For some reason I am stuck at the "Bind PW account" part.....all i get is "账号链接失败，请您退出客户端后重新登录[102]。" which google translate says its basically activation (link) failed. Restart client and relogin. I did that to both steam the PW client.....no use :(

I've heard a lot of people having problems and it got fixed by basically trying a different email provider (like gmail).

The limitation is that if you play too much you'll get autoban, its an "anti-addiction" mechanism they use for many games such as World of Warcraft.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

it's not so complicated anymore, u just need to follow these steps:

1) register perfect world (PW, chinese dota provider) account at http://members.dota2.com.cn/register with your local chinese mobile phone and email.

2) download client from here http://www.dota2.com.cn/download/

3) launch the client and let it update itself.

4) register new steam account using launched client, go to settings and link your steam account to PW account.

5) login and play.
