How Funcom thinks they are better off without you

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if you are familiar with what's been going on, but Mutant: Year Zero is using Denuvo because Funcom wanted so.

Obviously, since Conan Exiles never had Denuvo removed, people have quite a lot of concerns about this. So some of them actually bring those concerns to Funcom. While others don't know what Denuvo even is.

What you are seeing here is someone asking what Denuvo is, and someone telling them how harmless Denuvo is and how the people complaining about it, everyone is better without. An answer which a Funcom person pinned, meaning that's what they think about all of us. And apparently if you complain about Denuvo, you are crying. Let's all of us make Funcom cry by blacklisting all their games, shall we?

In conclusion, while I can't tell anyone what to do, I urge all of you to never buy a game from Funcom again, because they care about you as much as they care about stepping on an ant when they walk.

It locks you out of your game if you have crappy internet, or if you lose your internet for an extended period of time...

You know that Ubisoft and EA use Denuvo on their games, too and they have separate clients from Steam (Uplay and Origin)?

Never bought a game from FUNCOM and don't ever intend to either if they keep shoving anti-consumer Denuvo in their games. This kind of attitude is exactly why Denuvo DRM is so harmful since these publishers can't be bothered to remove it even when the game is cracked.

Can't boycott when I am already not buying their games.
Though I think we need to branch out a bit and educate those who don't know what Denuvo and why it/other forms of DRM are usually bad (except Steam). I can only do so much with Tweeting, posting in forums, and other social spheres that I lurk in.

Doesn't matter they care us or not, they putting any kind of DRM that simply means they care for our money into their pockets, eventually Denuvo means No buy for me.

@Psylent: Well, at least could demo it like that. I mean, if they don't even put one out...that's most "pirates" anyway. The others are "could never buy the game anyway". XD

Was thinking about buying that game. Than I saw that the game was released in what's more close to an Alpha-state instead of even Beta...and Denuvo on top of it...yeah, fuck that game. WAS looking forward to it, but shit like that...no. Maybe if I see it for 5 bucks on a certain key-seller site...which might be never, but whatever.
