Weird stuff in woods.

After watching the search and rescue video, the stairs in the woods thing really interest me, so i looked up it on google, and found some similar stories.
That got me thinking, i've seen some strange stuff in the woods, everything from abandoned buildings to an old woman obcessed with blue mushrooms (not even kidding.)
But now that i think of it, i vaguley remember seeing a staircase in the middle of the woods.

Does anyone else have weird things they've seen in the woods?

hmm, i havent seen anything weird in the woods because i rarely ever go into them. maybe one day i will run into those mysterious stairs.

Ahh, my friends and i go into the woods quite often, and we've seen and heard some weird things, some we can't really explain.
I vaguley remember seeing some stairs one time we went in, and it was on one of our stranger days in the woods too.
I'm really interested in all this now, i never really thought much of it before lol

im pretty sure i would scream and run out of the woods if i ever saw the stairs in there.. haha :) but i agree, after the search and rescue stories i was super interested in those stairs.

I completely understand xD. My friends and i love going into woods and finding new things lol. Stairs is a little different though, idk if i'd wanna go near those xD

I found a weird symbol on a tree a distance off of the path of a popular hiking trail. (Doughnut falls). I found while popping a squat in the snow to take a quick pee break. I took a picture of it, and upon further inspection realized it was a custom made brand that was burned into the tree. It wasn't a trail marker because all the trail marker's I'd seen on that trail and in the canyon were little wooden signs attached to trees. It was a circle, and inside the circle was a triangle. There were two vertical small lines at the base of the symbol which was where the brand was attached to the rod. The design, especially the circle was too perfect to be a carving, and too deep. Also around the symbol the tree was burned. It was pretty creepy, especially after looking up what the symbol meant.

Oh wow, kind of interesting that you would see that near a popular path.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a carving, but a brand, that's something you don't see a lot of. At least not here lol

I grew up in the middle of no where Missouri and my house was surrounded by woods. A lot of weird shit went on in them.I often explored the woods and grew to love them despite the strange happenings that went on there. I would find weird wooden shelters made in the middle of the forest, which never should of been there. I also found a suitcase once full of clothes thrown around everywhere like someone got attacked or something. I never found the owner of the suitcase, but his clothes were strewn all along the woods and made a trail. It was really strange and freaked me out as a kid. My parents thought it could've been some panhandler or something but I always wondered what happened to him... Another time my friend and I were exploring and we heard a random crunch of a tree and next thing we knew we were dodging a big ass tree coming at us. Now that isn't unusual because a lot of trees get old die and fall sometimes but when we went to investigate the tree it was clean cut like with an ax or something. It was so weird we didn't see anyone around and why would someone ax that tree we were by randomly in the middle of a forest? There's most likely rational explanations for these events but they just scared the hell out of me at the time. I have so much more experiences I can somewhat recall. Bottom line is forests are mysterious as hell.

I lived near the woods, and I think I have a solution to the tree falling on you. Or a logical explanation. When I first moved into my house when I was a kid, we were clearing out our backyard of tall pine trees. We had these guys come over and harness themselves to the trees and cut portion by portion down. But they would have to move the portions before cutting another. Maybe someone was clearing out the spot you guys used to play in to make way for a new house, or housing settlement.
