Explanation for the chiaki FC discord situation (unofficial)
Chiaki Fc's leadership has decided the pruning of the majority of the server members on its discord server is the solution to a series of problems that had been plaguing the server.
The issues primarily where peroids where the server would be down due to the large volume of individuals present on the server between hours and even days, as there were quite literally thousands of people would be disconnecting and connecting to the server every second ( this literally would melt any individual nodes the server is hosted on). The actions of the staff in my opinion where the correct response for the preservation of their community server, saying this as an individual who was present solely for the emojis myself.

Discord has the resources and capacity to support mega servers and already does this elsewhere, so its largely the fault of Discord that Chiaki FC had to resort to doing this as their infrastructure is supposed to be able to handle such massive scales, apparently at least. (im grumbling as a software dev here myself on them not holding up to their claims).

To the rather entitled individuals who suggest that the Chiaki community just move to another server (they have tens of thousands of active individuals), solely because we want nice global emojis is ridiculous. This server has culture and history, with chat logs that go back a long time for them. Us demanding them leave their server behind for us means loosing a large portion of their history, their community and their culture. Ultimately if we ever want chiaki fc to open up again and grant us access to the awesome emoji's discord has to properly support them to handle the numbers.

That does not mean the communities admins executed this however in an efficient or optimal manner. Warning calls for this purge were virtually absent, many individuals who were genuinely attempting to join the community now are prevented from doing so as many of them were unable to be active from the server being down and therefore unable to enroll or participate. I believe the administration may have actually not just kicked people they were pruning but outright ban them, which if they ever plan to reopen the server literally means tens of thousands of individuals can never return, as chiaki has no method to manage these bans, i.e a person who was banned for being a trouble maker vs a person banned for being afk/inactive (which includes temporarily inactive chiaki members). This is however not confirmed and so should be taken with a grain of salt, as many individuals in discord don't understand the difference between banning and kicking when they report this. Though this is the fault of discord since you don't get notified about being kicked or banned from a server......for some reason. Often functionally resulting in the same situation for smaller servers as the person has no means of return..
