How to effectively stop bullets?
How much or what type of armor will stop bullets? ive got a crap load of armor on and 9mm turrets are still unapproachable. My chest in seams to be taking the most damage.
I'm wearing: a Kevlar vest, Gambeson, chainmail armor (full body), firefighter belt, and a daypack. Before this I was able to walk-up to and beat a Chickenwalker to death with a baseball bat so any help is appreciated. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Hm, armor wise I would state upping that vest to an MBR one with hard plating, or ditch it all and go for power armor. Also, pushing a bookcase or locker, anything that just blocks the view of the turret, actually stops the turret from shooting in the first place, pretty decent armor there, heh.

Type wise, iirc, bullets are either cut or pierce, with a factor of armor penetration (9mms should be about 2 on that) So taking a face (Or chest) full of 9mm is still going to hurt. Stacking armor that protects against cut/pierce should be effective.

Chickenwalker wise, those things are pretty rare and I've not had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with too many melee wise.

Otherwise, when in doubt, build an 'anti-turret' pushable vehicle or tank :P

PS: Alloy plating CBM (Or likewise muts) could add on extra numbers
