Its extremely important that everybody registers at the new forums so that we can keep private chat hidden, it only takes a few minutes of time, and its important for us to do this to move fowards. Read the most recent announcement on where to go in order to register. All previous messages about important information has been deleted from this community page and moved to the forum so that it can be safely viewed by memebrs only.

I agree with Merlin. I'm in whenever you set this up of course.

Another thing we should do frequently from now on is have practise wars with other teams. Doesn't have to be in a ladder or anything, but you usually get pretty decent opponents you can learn from. Even if we lose miserably we will gain something from it and it's not like we're playing an important match. I'm offering to set those matches up whenever we have enough people. I guess most of you are available in the evening GMT during the week.

In fact I would do one today if I get enough response.

since we did such a graet performance in the clanmatch yesterday, id say we should try to get some CGS-only matches goin. Just to try out some nice ambushes etc. Bashing some public ragers is usually not the best training ;)

we dont have to do this on a strict regular basis, but we shouldve done it at least once imho

We got a clamatch coming next weekend. <<CGS>> versus SpiderPig '@'.
Previous time we fought against that clan to and won the first campaign with a small lead. The second one we lost.

This is the time for revenge. Again it's a friendly game, but that doesn't matter. We need to gain more experience. We need to work on our tactic skills. And offcourse, matches are the best way to learn it.

So... we need a 4 player team. Plus if it is possible 2 guys as back-up. If can sort out who will play the matches. If possible we can do two campaigns again, and swap some players, so everyone had the chance to fight. But that is Matty's decision. He's the boss. He will announce the event soon (when he is done playing Max Payne ^^) so then it will be official.

But because I wanted to announce this as soon as possible so everyone has the chance to reply, I post this comment.

Public server 2 is up, it has no sv_search key, so therefore the public should be able to join via matchmaking system hopefully. We can ofc, still connect via steam groups (the tab in the bottom right hand corner on the main menu). I'll wait until the end of today, and see if it has actually had any hits (if anyone has joined), and if there isnt, i'll play around with the config again until its fixed.

Urks friend has got the logo done! its actually a W.I.P, because there is alittle colour that will be added, but other than that, its almost the final piece, and at least now we have a logo to go with. The banner and MOTD for the servers will be finished shortly as well. Then all thats left to do is get the website built and running and thats it. We are ready to practise hard and enter events and ladders!

server 1 is up and running lads, we'll need to give it a test when we can, and i'll need to have urks friend help me with editing the config so that we can join it in a lobby easier. Once we've got the first one tested (mainly to check the ping, cause we wouldnt want ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pings) i'll buy us a private server, so that we can have some friends only matches, and at the same time, i can have a banner in the public advertising our clan.

I may have a few people in my list (People you already know) who would join. I'll double check on that. Thanks for your research Matty, it's good to have these things in the back of your mind while playing and it definitely helps raising the score in some scenarios, which of course can be vital to the overall outcome.

Also for those that dont know, servers should be up and running hopefully this friday. This should include 3, though possibly 4 L4D servers a working teamspeak and ventrillo server and perhaps if i have the money and time to look around, a website that we can start to build.

Remember to keep an eye out for new members for the clan, we pref need experienced players that have working mics and a good knowledge of the game. But keep an eye out for the rogue players that have good teamwork and strategies and are keen to listen and learn. (friends are ofc welcome if you want to invite anyone).
