I think whats more the issue is that the boycott groups are idiots, comparable perhaps to those who did not give Fallout 3 a chance out of the box, we need to be the intelligant adults here and not sink to the level of petty name calling because then we are the same as them.

No one knows the entire details about Valve's plans for L4D... but i can say from the bottom of my heart... that boycotting a game you know ♥♥♥♥ all about is retarded.

DLC has been taken for granted... and it shouldn't be. DLC is a privilege, not a must have. And anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.

guys were boycotting it because valve is with E-3. i dunno exact details but ill tell you that E-3 SUCKS. I went to the World Cyber Games grand finals 2008 and it was amazing. i got in for free, played l4d and the oj box a year before release. I got to see a great game of Warcraft 3, CSS, Halo, starcraft, and many nations competing in some of the greatest games there are. I got in for free too with my ASB card and there wernt too many ppl. And btw: when joining a group, check to see who the admins are, the creator obviously has some weird fetish, the second in line says "war doesnt determine whos right, just whos left" no ♥♥♥♥ dumbass its a war. and the other two look to be furfags or some ♥♥♥♥. so before you join a group, look and see what youre REALLY joining.

Not to mention the fact that valve as come out several times and said (more or less) '♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ don't know what were doing! were going to support both games so STFU crybaby mofos'

How can people actually still complain about L4D2? I mean valve wont stop working on left4dead 1 and THEY MAKE A NEW GAME. Valve doesnt force any one to buy l4d2. We need more groups like this!

People boycotting l4d and valve are just being plein stupid, they just don't have to buy their game if their not happy, as for a mod, l4d2 won't be near as the same as this one, new campain, weapons, maps,ect... Ill buy the game and ill enjoy it, if they don't want to enjoy it they don't need to cry about this "soon release".

It annoys me when people moan that it's only been a year since the last one, even though Call of Duty has a 1 year release cycle and it's more repetitive then l4d anyway.

Left 4 Dead 2 consists of 5 new campains (l4d has 4) TONS of new weapons , models, and special infected such as the charged. My prediction is that its going to be atleast 2 gb bigger than l4d 1. As the boycotters said l4d 2 should be releashed as a mod for l4d. Well what mod is bigger than the original game??!?!?!?!?!?? Exactly.

(cont'd) Valve is going through some tough times too, I don't mind helping them out at all. Especially with a new kick ass installment to the L4D series, hell, I'd pay 80 bucks for it. It's funny how people can just assume that L4D2 is going to be the exact same as L4D1. Any TF2 player that has played the game since before the class updates know that Valve likes to tease and push people's buttons. What I saw in that E3 video was just awesome. The possibilities are endless, especially with that new AI Director 2.0, anything is possible. I know that Valve has something up their sleeve, they are just trying to make L4D2 look like the original L4D to the public so they can see how far they will go about this game. Now there's a "Boycott L4D2" group. Simply pure win on Valve's side, they made a bunch of people turn against the game, making them think that it's going to be the same crap as the 1st part. Those that are in that "Boycott" group do not know what they are doing, most of them are just followers trying to fit it and the others that are "a part of the movement" are just too cheap to pay for another game and support Valve with their decisions.
