Hello, I was baking some maps for my model.
Normal and AO maps look fine, but when I bake cavity map
this happens :

I have tinkered with Steps and Rays setting, but nothing helps

I see, so if I get a better processor and RAM, will it make it faster?

I just finished sculpting half-mirror of my model. Somewhere around 1M tris
Sculpted it on Zbrush ( no lag at all )
Imported it to Blender, and I suffer minor lag when I pan / zoom around.
And when I entered Edit Mode, it is more lag than before
Question is, is it Blender or my Hardware is not strong enough ? is there other program that can handle million tris better?
System spec :
Processor : quad core 3.3 GHz
Memory : 4096 RAM
Video : NVIDIA Geforce GT 630

Make medium-poly ( lod1 ) , sculpt and so on.
. nice methods there...
What option do you use to bake normal map in blender ?

This is my method of making weapon in dota:
Sculpt > Cut high poly into half > decimate the half > and mirror
( Please tell me if there is flaw on my method )

Well...... some of the vertices is displaced, so I want to make all of the displaced vertices into X : 0.0
Usually, I select each vertex and type 0 in the Transform X axis at a time ( It wasted my time a lot ), If I select multiple vertices and type 0, it will only move it into the median point
So, how do I make all of this vertex into X : 0.0 instantly?

Am I supposed to unwrap the lowpoly before sending it to xNormal ?

Not related to Blender, is there any program that generate Normal map from high poly model ? My 32-bit Windows do not support Xnormal

I sculpt using Sculptris, so the question is:
1. Any method/ concept to make a sharp edge (blade edge, hilt to blade part) ?
2. Is it a good sculpt ?
3. Is it possible to make double symetry? ( sculpt one side, 3 other sides affected )

Is it possible to make a dota 2 item with other heroes' vtf files?
The VTF that I mean is something like CK's / OD's animated texture, ( Mask1 channel red )
So again, I'm making kunkka's sword and is it possible to take CK's/OD's VTF file and edit the color and use it for my kunkka's sword, is it possible?

It's okay, i checked more forum again and found, penumbral warblade ( already ingame ) using PA's original particle map, i think that is a proof that some people have trouble importing it.
Oh yeah i found that semi transparent thing that i was talked about, it is Shadow Shaman's snake, eki bukaw if im not wrong?
