Off the top of my head this issue is just hiding a bodygroup (the scouts backpack), but it doesn't seem like the importer allows for that option. I checked the scout model in the HLMV and it doesn't seem like he even has a bodygroup for his backpack. Are you sure there are any items that remove his backpack? I think there might be one item that does that, but it probably doesn't replace the backpack (it's probably just modeled over the backpack).

so I am working on a pyro head, that you can't put hats on top of I have recently tried to use the bip_head bone but as you know, bip_head does not remove the head. So what bone to use? I am using the model pyro_reference.dmx.smd (has no head)

whenever I try to export an smd it says: Scene unconfigured. See the SOURCE ENGINE EXPORT PANEL in SCENE PROPERTIES
