I will try it out in the morning, Great! I just would like to create say a square onto an existing face allowing me to bring it back into the model creating a basic eye indent onto a skull. Anyways i will try it out. Thanks for the tip and hotkey HellJumper.

As a general blender knowledge question. How do i go about adding verticies on a face of a mesh. Say i have a skull, i outlined the basic shape and wanted to inset the eyes, but how would i go about making it so i can outline the eyes to move around without an edge loop. Because once i add a edgeloop the tri count goes up by a lot. As it adds more faces where i dont need them. If there a way around this, i watch blender speed modeling and i see people just create a square of verticies on a face and push it inwards. Would be incredibly useful if i knew a way like that.

Hello. I would really appreciate it if someone could aid me with this as i have been having worries/troubles with it for a while.

Okay. As i UV Unwrapped my model in blender i realised in texture mode the sides of it was see-through. (i made this model with the mirror modifier if that changes anything) and no matter how neatly i unwrapped it, it stayed there. I looked in object and editmode and it looked fine. Completely normal. I even tried pressing F to add a face and it deleted it, so that must mean they are intact? When i switch to rendered mode they are there and not see through.

My question is: Will it affect my model in the end? ( Should i ignore it and carry on?) or will it make my model messed up.

How do i fix this if it is a problem?

Hey, thanks for taking the time to read this... Okay i was wondering if using some of the sculpting tools on my model is feasible. I just feel restricted in some ways using just edit mode. Im designing a cloth item and im finding it tricky to get nice looking creases in the fabric, so when browsing the tools available in blender i see a crease brush. If i use this tool will the polygon count be too high? Also how do i check how many polygons / triangles or whatever is currently on my model. All i can see is the total amount in the top right but thats including the tf2 character model. E.G sniper =7504 tri's or something.

Thank you for the helpful reply HellJumper. Okay, last question... How do i mould a object to a face. Say im making a "mask" for the sniper. How do i mould it around his nose, cheeks ect. Because so far i make it and its a completely straight mask and it just sits there, I cant form it to the face without making the model go very weird. I try rotating ect and all it does is stretch the shape making it look all weird. Is there a way around this such as building it onto the snipers face or something like that? Because i cant seem to do it.

Okay, hello everyone. I am wanting to add a glow/light effect to the eyes of my new hat model i am making. I have seen it done perfectly in some of the halloween hats that are on the workshop. I am wondering how i can add this effect to the model i am currently working on. Also i might resolve this by the time someone answers this but if now i can refer back to this. How do i make holes through shapes and models in blender? And how can i indent into objects in blender? Like a engraving on it. Not in letter though, in a shape say?
