How to REDUCE LAG!!!

There are many ways to deal with lag, but the most effective are:
1, Lower Graphic Settings (Sacrafice some looks/effect for speed.)
2. End background processes. (Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open Task Manager and end some useless background processes, apps, etc.)
3. Make sure to close everything BUT the game! (This allows the game to take priority.)

If you still have problems try:
1. Making sure everything is installed correctly. (Chronologically, correct destinations, etc.)
2. Delete all files pretaining to the game EXCEPT the disk files! Then reinstall it being careful not to miss a destination, etc.

If you have over 40fps I strongly advise raising the quality until it drops around the 20-30 range, just for the better experience, of course.

All of those are redundant and irrelevant. It's because of the newest windows 10 update (as expected from Microsoft)

if you wna tot fix the lag, get the d3d9.dll form your 10586 files (c:\windows.old) and rename it to d3d9_alt.dll and place it into the aa2 install directory.
