Annunaki Genesis: Survivor Readme
Introduction

To see if this mod is something for you, check this readme out to find more information about it. Due to the fact that we are a small group, whereby we only have one programmer, we don’t have the luxury to test if this mod is compatible with all mods out there. Because of this, we do not support modification related issues like difficulty changers.

The mod is balanced out at the difficulty the mod comes with. Keep in mind that the modification will change over time, whereby the possibility is there that you’ll lose specific creatures, because they are either removed or changed. Because of this, balancement will be another thing that requires a lot of attention, time and work so it will differ from every user experience until the right setting has been found. When you’ll read further on, you’ll understand what our vision is for the modification, and what we’re trying to achieve.

We also encourage you to tweak your game.ini to adjust specific settings you disagree with to your liking.

We do plan however to add in the near future several and additional .ini options (in a separate readme) whereby you can change the recommended settings for Single Player users.

General

Difficulty : The difficulty has been set on 1 – 20. This is merely a calculated formula. For example, the vanilla creatures can spawn between the levels 1 – 600. More details about the levels will be explained in the creatures chapter.

Player : You can now reach level 100, and obtain Engram points until that level. Next to that, we’ve giving you the freedom to customize this option to your own liking, wether you want to increase or decrease this values for your own gameplay.

Vanilla Overhaul : The vanilla creatures have been slightly adjusted as well, so that it still worth it to tame and use them as well, instead of using them only as food source. This way the original hierarchy from the game is kept in play.

Creature Names : We’ve enabled all creature to use their complete names (e.g. Utahraptor instead of Raptor), to make it easier and more educational for people, while giving a more intimidating aspect to the game itself in the process!

Creature Colors : We've added some extra and additional less glossy colors for most creatures (with eventually all to come) to give the game a more blending and immersive experience for everyone who wants to rule the game with a default creature!

Taming : To make taming more fun (and easier) for you, we’ve added Gentle Taming support. This means that most of Ark’s herbivore creatures can now be tamed without needing to knock them out. Each creature has it’s own level requirement to do so, to keep progression and balance in play. We've also added 200 tamed creature levels, so give it your best shot!

Babies : Since Studio Wildcard has given us the wonders of babies in the game, we’ve taken it a step further and added babies to the wild as well. This means you can tame babies the same way as their adult counterpart, without the pre-requisite to breed them first and to give the wildlife a more realistic look and feel!

Animations : To make every creature interesting, we’ve added new animations like Roaaaring, Kicking, Jumping and more to different types of creatures. Some of these new animations also have their own attack type to make things even more interesting.

Spawn Zones : We’ve made it so, that random species of creatures now appear on different Biome Zones around the Ark (e.g. the Bat). This way you are not forced to go into a specific danger zone, to obtain that which you desire, but still giving the environment a more diverse challenge, since you won’t know what you’ll encounter next!

Creature Healing : We’ve made it so that creatures heal a specific amount of percentage (%) out of combat, to recover lost Health points faster. This way the imminent threat of defeat is one step further away!

Supply Drops : These are an essential part of the game and increase your survival odds greatly. We’ve adjusted the Supply Drops to a more RNG (Random Number Generator) –system, whereby you’ll always get more then normal, with different types of tiers, but with enough variety to keep it interesting every time you open one up!

Loot System : All creatures of the Ark now drop loot (this means Coels as well), based on their difficulty they will yield better rewards which will promote every survivor to hunt, kill and dominate the wildlife!

Corpse Health : To make sure you don’t accidently ‘eat’ your loot when you defeated your enemy, we’ve increased the corpse health of tougher enemies to make sure this won’t happen and you can still loot them at your own pace. Keep in mind that the doesn’t take into account that the wildlife will still try and harvest your bounty.

For more details, Click Here[docs.google.com]!

Elite : These creatures are the tamable and thereby ridable versions of their original counterparts. The come in different unique color variations, to distinquish them even more next to the fact that they are bigger. These creatures are highly recommended for starting survivors.

Badass : These creatures are the elemental versions of their counterparts, each having their own abilities and thereby specialities. They also have their own strengths and weaknesses. They provide the best variety for every survivor’s needs for every situation, from the beginning to the end.

FIRE : The Fire Badass excels in Melee, but gains less Health in the process of leveling up. It deals a Fire debuff to it’s targets which burns them for 200% instant melee damage to Health over 1 second time.

FROST : The Frost Badass excels in Speed, but gains less Health in the process of leveling up. It deals a Frost debuff to it’s targets which freezes them for 100% instant melee damage to Health over 1 second time, while also applying 20% additional melee damage to Stamina.

POISON : The Poison Badass excels in Health, but gains less Stamina in the process of leveling up. It deals a Torpor debuff to it’s targets which poisons them for 600% instant melee damage, with an additional 200% torpidity as melee damage over 1 second time.

ROCK : The Rock Badass excels in Melee, but gains less Speed in the process of leveling up. It deals no elemental damage, but can demolish stone structures with relative ease. With their second attack they can harvest more resources. It’s also able to knock it’s enemies further away when attacking them.

Champion : These creatures are created for fans of mobile base building. They excel in Weight and Health, to create the ultimate Mobile Fortress or Assault Platform. While building, you can expand in height and length further then their original counterparts.

Alpha : There are both Carnivore and Herbivore Alpha creatures. These creatures come in two variants, namely ‘Prime Alpha’s and ‘Alpha’s’. The difference is the fact that the Prime Alpha’s CANNOT be tamed, while the Alpha’s can be tamed. The Prime Alpha’s also have the Cheetos Glow around them, so you’ll always know which one you’re encountering.

Uber : These are the ultimate tamable abominations of the Ark. They are the tamable (but balanced) Boss creatures which are unrivalled when it comes to sheer power and force! They all have more then one ability, to make them stand out even more.

Annunaki : These are the slogan creatures of our modification. They are the hardest to tame, yet most worthwhile for every Hardcore Survivor out there. If your goal is Power, then this is what you’ve been looking for. Keep a close eye as they spawn extremely rare and it requires effort and dedication to hunt, tame and master them. These creatures are NOT for the feint of heart.

Ancient : The Acients are the Old remnants of their original counterparts, while only bones and rotten skin are left. They roam the most dangerous parts of the Ark and show no mercy. Beware as these creaures will most likely succeed in killing you.

Apex : The Ultimate Original Alpha counterparts. They excel in every aspect of their Alpha version. These are Hardcore Challenges only for the ultimate survivors and require a team and strategy to take down. Always keep a watchful eye for these abominations of nature.

Warden : The Boss Creatures of the modification. They provide the ultimate rewards and roam the Ark in their designated Zones, waiting for strong Tribes to challenge them for superiority. This is the End-Game content of the modification.

Warchief : The Final Boss Creature of the modification and the Leader of the Wardens. Only the hardest, most stubborn, dedicated and strongest Survivor Tribes are able to challenge this beast. If you do not come prepared, you will die. This creatures will not stop hunting you, if you provoke it, so when you do, accept that it’s life or death!

God : So far only rumors have come across these creatures and so far only one at the moment is known. Oblivion is what they call it, and as his name suggests, he destroys Survivors, Creatures, Structures and even the Ark itself in it's roaming wake. Beware survivor, when you see him, run for the hills, because he will bring hopelessness and the end of times with him!

We'll be continuous updating this readme, when the game progresses and the mod grows. If we've forgotten any vital or relevant information, notify us via the Suggestions board.
