Alpha Users having issues with Windows 10
Please before upgradeing to windows 10 install the latest ALienware Alpha drivers from here:

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/alienware-alpha/drivers

This will help prevent Alot of the issues several people are reporting to have with Windows 10

If you have installed them all already I am still more than willing to help with the issues you have been having.

Damn, what were the problems, specifically? Unfortunately, I didn't check for these drivers so I had to wipe the Alpha since a black screen showed in desktop mode. I did all available solutions for this black screen glitch, but nothing worked.

You downloaded all the drivers including the bios update or are you unable to do so due to lacking desktop mode?

I didn't download any drivers before or after my upgrade of the Alpha, sadly. I'm on Windows 8.1 now and everything is functioning normally. I did download all of the drivers now, but once I get my external hard drive and create an image, Microsoft iron out all the bugs, and I see a decrease in bugs for the Alpha, I'll probably upgrade somewhere this year.

Ikr? It was amazing. Well, hopefully I can enjoy those added benefits later.

I had no issues upgrading my laptop to 10, but major problems with the Alpha. I did make sure to update the drivers, but I kept getting an error when loading Windows 10 that said start menu and cortana failed to load. I was finally able to get it stable enough to roll back to Windows 8.1. I also didn't like that Alien FX failed to work in 10 so HDMI in was lost. I will stick with 8.1 for now.

Here is what I did and I had no issues. I first updated the BIOS while still on Windows 8.1. I then did a clean install of Windows 10. I had all of the Alienware Alpha Windows 10 Drivers stored on a flash drive ready to go! Once I got Windows 10 installed I popped in the flash drive and copied the entire folder that I had the drivers in on my flash drive to "Documents" on the Alpha. (That way you are installing them from the storage on the Alpha and not the little flash drive) I then installed one driver at a time. I started with intel chipset, intel management, sata/storage, video, audio, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth. I installed them in that order. I have had no issues with Windows 10 at all!
