This might not have been the best unit out there, or the most realistic unit, but it was a good damn unit. I miss the days of getting into my P-51D and flying cover for the 82nd as they flew in onboard the 61st Troop Transport's C-47s. I've shot down so many 109's that I've lost count. I remember escorting the B-17 flight to North East airfield. Do you remember your squad, tank, or flight? Post your favorite memories boys. It was a damn good time. My favorite memory is drilling my men. We had fun, and we took things just about as serious as people would in a bar. However, it was a splendid time in the 8th AF. I remember going through flight school with D. Hart, and then going on to take lead of the 8th AF. I was very young then. 13-14 or so. I would have done so many things differently. I wish I could go back and do it all over again. I salute you, veterans.

Crippen the 82nd shut down around 2 months ago.We had a full company but it was so unorganised and people werent paying attention to it, well at least the people who just requested tags and never returned on the teamspeak...

yeah we still play i44 trying to keep it going for a few more years if possible

I found the 82nd they are now a 101st unit with 15 people enlisted

We need the 82nd back now, I need a realism unit that is actually realistic. I now reslize how good we were. Some of those ops we did always reminded me of scenes from band of brothers and such. It was just so much fun and i need it back anyone want to start it up?

I actualy bought arma 2 because I watched Cameron's I44 videos, I enjoyed every second in 82nd and I wish to fight once with men who served next to me

We all miss 82nd (atleast most of the people) even though some things we all couldn't agree on, and some things got out of hand. Everytime we jumped,everytime we got in a firefight, everytime we had to go back and help a wounded man, we enjoyed every second of it even if we hated it then.

I miss the 82nd. I miss all the fun we all used to have.

yes they are 2nd ranger battalion but half of members from 101st went to 1st Cav unsung vietnam war mod unit

We are split it seems, Look the the 1st rangers or something idk their names now. They switch the units name entirely too often it seems.
