doesn't LYNE have them? this is from memory. also the trading cards for Type: Rider are all letters that can be used to spell some fairly amusing and/or juvenile (not mutually exclusive) acronyms...

coincidentally, after posting that i went to check out the LYNE community hub (i have the game - got it during a sale because it looked very interesting, but i also like to decorate my profile a lot so achievements with "cool" icons are always ones i'm up for which is why i checked out this thread in the first place...) --- anyway, you guys may be quite interested and opinionated about what the dev has to say about their own achievement images. personally, it lowered my opinion of game i haven't even played yet and bought without knowing that the achievements were of interest to me...

Yeah, he sounds like a total douche nozzle, unfortunately. I bought the game because I like puzzles, and I like the game. I didn't even know about the achievements being letters until after I'd bought it. This is the wrong attitude to have toward your player base.

Someone should make a list of this, with numbers and other characters thrown in as well. It would be frankly awesome.

i couldn't have put it better myself. this was exactly the situation & order of events for me also when getting this game, and i agree 100% with you.

he claims he has no intention of removing the achievement letters after the community getting upset over his little "statement" & devs go back on their word all the time ('word', heh... kill me) so it makes me a bit nervous.
i had no intention of playing LYNE for the letters because i didn't know they existed when i got it, but now i'm feeling de-incentivized to play this game because psychologically [potentially] losing something you earned (no matter how meaningless to others) has exactly the same (but inverted, aka negative) feeling as the pavlovian response to "gaining" or "earning" something does. so if i earn these and they are later removed, i don't want to feel upset over such a petty thing.
anyway, this potentially really creates some bad feelings associated with what i thought was a really neat looking GAME.

back on topic... sort of: i umm, can probably mention quite a lot of achievements if you guys are interested in the letter/symbol X ... *cough*

also i know this is a focused achievements group, but does anyone feel like discussing emoticons, cards and badges that contain letters or symbols etc in addition to achievements as well? until i find "profile decorators anonymous" i don't really know a more opportune topic to bring these up in.

anyway, if it's fine, i can also name a few in addition to possibly some more achieves with letters if i think of them or find them. the badge levels for XENORAPTOR contain some letters from the english alphabet iirc (yes, probably at least 1 X...) for example, and i'm working on completing my emoticon alphabet!

Would you restrict it to actual letters, or include achievements with a shape that is very close to a plain letter? In that case, I would recomend a neat 'I' from Sanctum ("The Monument").
