But I hope there's another method, I do not want to have your computer on all day
edit: part of me is motivated to get this achievement... i could leave the game idle while playing other games. SOME achievements do not proc unless you have the game window as your active open window though. does anyone know if this is an achieve that can be gotten if you leave for 24hrs minimized, or does the game have to be maximized the entire time?
i've encountered achieves where the game has to be maximized for these "time punishment" achievements of 2+ hours or more often, and i hate them with a burning passion. sometimes it's a game i really enjoy even (!) but my opinion of the game just goes down when i think about what kind of malicious person would create a pointless achieve like that.
I honestly thought The Stanley Parable was overrated and overpriced, anyway.
Although I like this game achievements that really make you strive, this latest achievement I find annoying, but hey, once we have done already forever xD
The truth he had never "fought" for a very rare achievement xDD
Perhaps you may seem overpriced and overrated, but for the type of players of this game is great.
Greetings! =)
yeah, i was being facetious... unless that person also is into microwaving kittens, in which case i was totally serious.
yeah, that's exactly what i alluded to in my post actually, it's meta, but TOO meta...
good luck man. also if anyone knows if this can be done with the game minimized... let me know.
I think if you can get the achievement considering the minimized game, start the game at 11:30 pm on a Monday, and stop it at 1:30 a.m. on the next Wednesday without giving pause, just alt + tab to go to the desktop, I sought guidance ago I used a lot and I was very useful.
The guide that I used is this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=206099649
Though now that I think of it, you SHOULD be able to get the achievement on any day of the week if you reset your computer clock to Monday night before you start the game... If only you could open it in VMWare and increase the VM clock speed somehow...
(Forgive me for thinking of 'ways around' the achievement... But if the Dev is going to rip off the players by creating impossible achievements, we should be able to rip off the dev by hacking those achievements. And hey, if any of you decide hack any of the achievements in this game, I wouldn't hold it against you!)
... i predict a power outage whenever i try to get this one. just you wait and see.
