True Steam Achievements has entered beta!
I thought some people in this group might be interested in knowing http://www.truesteamachievements.com is now a thing, though it is in pretty early beta. Those of you who used to (or still do) achievement hunt on Xbox know them for one of the most popular achievement hunting communities around, and now it has a steam site!

I'm over there now since I've switched to gaming mostly on PC, so if you decide to check it out add me to your friends list over there. Just search Bobbitto.

Cheers folks!

Oh. Now I need to wait for Beta Keys to log in :(
Is this from the same people who made Xbox Achievements and PlayStation Trophies? or is it a seperate thing?
I didn't know this site previously. How is this different from Metagamerscore (that tracks cheevos on several platforms) or Astats (only Steam cheevos)?

I requested the beta anyway.
How does it compare to Astats?
Oh hell yes! Been so waiting for them to make a version for Steam. I love both TrueAchievements and TrueTrophies so of course I'll be joining once I can. Already registered interest.

We totally should end up getting a leaderboard once more of us can join up.

Does that site have the ability to keep a checklist of achievements earned?

No, it's the same people who made Trueachievements.com and truetrophies.com

I'm not too familiar with those sites you mentioned so I can't compare. All I know is I am a big fan of the other sites these guys made so I'm pretty excited about this one. Not here to try to sell it to anyone, just thought I'd point out that it was happening!

You can filter each game by "achievements not won" so it will only show the ones you have left. If that's what you mean?

That sounds exactly like what I'm after.
Well, I finally got in and somehow ended up being ranked #17 out of all the members and it's missing a decent sized chunk of my games.

I doubt I'll remain long in the top 20 once more folks from 100pag get in.

Ditto. I'm exactly #17 right now but definitely not for long.

Now that it has updated my stats, it seems almost exactly the same as Astats and Metagamerscore though, with slightly different social features. It has an activity feed for achievements tracking similar to Steam plus you can organize gaming sessions for e.g. multiplayer achievements or just for fun.

It has potential alright.
Yeah, I find their sites nicer to navigate than Astats and the ability to have a full walkthrough for games is also nice once they get those going. The ratio is also a nice thing to show how rare your achievements are as well.

Also definitely like the gaming sessions thing. The leaderboards are also nice because once they get those up and running people can make their onw leaderboards for whatever which can be fun.
Once it's out of beta. I expect it to probably be the go-to for stats. The Xbox/PS sides of their network are populated and you can get regular gaming sessions as I've done so in the past. Much prefer it to Astats but will continue to use both equally.
Well, I browsed for alittle while via cell, how do you get beta access? I might as well make an account there like I have for all the other tracking sites.
Ooooh, this looks very interesting! I've used the XBox achievement site for yonks and always wished there was a Steam version!

You have to put your Steam ID of course, or sign in through Steam. This many be an obvious question, but it's definitely safe to do that isn't it...?

I've always guarded my account closely and never signed into third party sites with it.

It ought to be safe. I've done it on multiple sites. As long as the site asks you to sign through Steam and then redirects through Steam, then it's fine. If it doesn't and instead asks your Steam credentials on-site, there's something dubious going on. I find it more convenient too, because then I don't need to remember/track another username/password combination.

This site does it the clean way.
