Steam aint a game, its a library, if someone wants to use SAM wherever its to just boast about his hurt self inflated ego or he encountered an achievement that has trigger bugged to shit and back, its their problem. and why is that your problem, games shouldnt have achievments that cant be gotten without this in the firstplace, youi dont like it dont fucking look

They shouldn't, but if they do don't cheat it, you aren't much better than devs implementing DRM that kills their games if you do. Some trackers even consider using private server cheating, i don't, if anything i want to see more games that can continue to live on via community servers, but SAM, just no, you're just being an ass if you use it, 0 justification, just bc something exists doesn't mean you deserve it, especially not that way.

You are aiming for the ridiculous reason award arentcha? Deserving something gets out of the window the mere moment you have put requisite dosh on the table. Its bad enough that nowadays you dont even own your games and if you are hard banned on a store, you dont have access to hundreds or thousands of dollars you have spent over the years because fuck customer i guess (oh and on that note, steam is a DRM as well, so there goes the developers being assholes argument), people have to step on eggshells because if you use a no-no word, you can get banned, if you use a program to unlock a happy plaquette on your profile cause you just cant play the same game for 17th time, thats a ban, you are poor as shit and people think you should just spend all your cash on survival and maybe bills if you are lucky that month without any regards to your mental well being and you use some free vpn this one time to buy the game with regional prices on madagascar or some shit, thats a ban. Everything be a ban. Stop. Cease. Piss off.

Completely agree, don't see how that's a justification for cheating though, if you do you should probably have your cheated achievements removed and depending on how much you do it maybe be blocked from earning achievements not from your games.
If you don't play games you don't care about achievements anyways so why would you even cheat them, why you even in this group if you don't care about achievements?

I heard on VAC games you may get banned if you SAM them while on a VAC enabled server, but even that's not guaranteed and in every other case they don't care. Achievement hunting on Steam is a joke.

Maybe that's because it's a thingie to plop on your profile and that's it. There's no inherent value, you will not get ahead of anybody, if anything it's a basement dwelling proof. So maybe stop acting like it's the second coming of the fucking Jesus Christ on a pogo stick?

Banning over an achievement seems like something that would just be pointless. I think SAM has a purpose. If a game's MP gets shutdown out of nowhere, I would be a lil miffed. If they gave you a date they were shutting down, then its on you for missing out. I haven't really had the issue much, but bugged achievements are a biggie. There are games ive spent countless hours on ps4 trying to get a trophy just to find out it breaks easily/often. I could see people using SAM for a similar instance, like if they spent hundreds of hours in a game, just for the final achievement to bug out and not award.
