archiving possible achievements fair or have some broken achievement left out cause there is no way to get them exept to hack.
Plus to that I legit tried to contact the devs on their social media to report the issue but they don't care.
What else can I do my man.
You would be alone.
So if it's worth that much to you, then SAM can make it so.
Why do you have the urge to show everyone your perfect games, I do not understand.
I didn't know about all the communities that you mentioned, so I guess I will be "alone" in a place where I even didn't know it existed.
I just want to complete 2 games that have broken achievements. I guess sam its literally the only solution I have even tho I dont like it.
I don't see any reason to remove me from here since I'm just asking a question.
I mostly try to get my achievements without being helped by friends if I can but sometimes I use friends help like the majority in the achievement hunter community.
Well in my opinion to use SAM in some particular occasions (likewise unlock a broken achievement otherwise unobtainable) isnt cheating or at least is cheating like earn achievements with the friends help.
Sorry for the english. I hope it's clear what I mean.
Well said pal.
The irony of this is that there might be a lot of people in this community who already used SAM for this exact same reason or maybe other reasons, but won't say anything because they want to maintain this perfect image with the community, community filled with people that they dont even know IRL. Thats something I dont get it at all. But I respect regardless.
Thanks!
Further I tried to play together with some achievement hunters out there in order to obtain some specific achievements. It turned out to be very boring because the purpose were not having fun but farming achievements only. If you onbly tired to say let's play for real and not for farming they started to complain.
So I said again I cant see any difference in using sam for some unobtainable achievements and this behavior.
Other in-direct dangers of using this software are the potential to be banned from this and/or other achievement hunting communities, and/or being black-listed on certain external achievement hunting trackers. However, using those trackers typically requires your profile to be public. Since yours is private, I assume you don't use them and thus don't have any of these downsides (including the membership of this group) at stake.
Only if you started using achievement hunter trackers would this come back to bite you. With a public profile and public games list it is easy to verify whether you have gained any achievements that are known to be broken. If you wanted to join them anyway, there is usually a process to appeal and typically remove all achievements in the affected games (using SAM itself, typically).
Personally, I use several achievement trackers and many of them acknowledge a game as completed if all the achievements are gained disregarding any known broken achievements. Broken achievements typically include time-restricted now-not-gainable achievements like e.g. playing the game while it was in Early Access.
I can totally agree on the statement about Achievement Hunters or generally Grinders in some games. They tend to get the job done the fastest and most efficient way and be lacking completely on having fun.
At the end of the day, I want to have fun while playing games. It is my freetime activity of choice and if I want to complete (for instance) Batman Arkham Origins and can't do so because it was a trend to add stupid multiplayer achievements to games at that time, (BA: Origins; Tomb Raider, even DOOM 2016, etc) then I can choose to use SAM to unlock these achievements. Because to me, Batman Arkham Origins is a singleplayer game. End of story.
Also, I recently read the "rules" concerning being a Completionist on SteamHunters. I do not understand why you need rules to complete games. I do not complete games for other people, I complete them because I WANT TO! I don't need anyone to tell me how to play and what I am allowed to do and what not. And that annoys me.
also do whatever thay makes you happy, if that doesn't harm anyone. that's why you're playing games anyway right
I might one day use SAM. Achievement hunting is a personal thing. If you earned the achievement and the game failed to give it to you, go ahead and use it if you want.
Don't let a group of elitist tryhard dictate what you are allowed to do in your own game.
