achievements for a game that got shut down
Hello all,

Firefall, a game that I used to play, has shut down.
Steam deleted it of his storepage too.

Now I was wondering, does the achievements of the game still count?
I am guessing yes but if someone has more knowledge around this topic, let me know :)

little extra story:
Never was able to get 100% :steamsad: They were bugged. I had most of them ingame but they wouldn't unlock anymore on steam. Contacted support for it, they couldn't really help. Some achievements were also unable to get anymore (I hate that kind of achievements, if you change something in the game, change your achievements with it please....)
So yea, I got all the one that I could get ingame, even if they wouldn't unlock on steam anymore.

I don't have that game. Was it a singleplayer or multiplayer game?

Depends on what do you mean with "count".

They are still retained in Steam, unless the achievements were removed from the game before it was taken off Steam.

You can still play the game, unless it was a multiplayer game with only official servers and no dedicated server support. If you can, you should even be able to get achievements (except the bugged ones of course).

For Astats the game will not count in the future, but there is a leaderboards for removed games that you have 100% completed (meaning that you got all achievements that are not bugged).

I don't know about this particular game and its circumstances, but I have collected the achievements for a number of games that were removed from the Steam Store which I had previously bought prior their removal. Those achievements for "dead" and removed games still are tallied up by Steam on your profile and show up on Astats; however, they don't count on Astats and have their own classification within that system.
