Interested in how you ripped The Sims Bustin Out models?
Hey! I'm interested in how you ripped the models from The Sims Bustin Out, because it would be nice to have them in like .obj and .dds to make custom content for The Sims 2.

Alright, nice! So you emulate Bustin Out with the GameCube-version, I never thought of that (been playing it on PS2 my whole life :P). So I just use the 3Dripper with the ISO or is there anything else I need to do?

ironiclly i play the ps2 version myself,it usually depends on what you need
normally textures IF they happen to screw up you will need to edit them in a paint program(chances are its a 10% chance of happening)depending on the model you want, like say a car you will need to beat the goal to unlock said car i haven't ripped the temple yet because i want to rip it along all the gnomes of it problem is i literally NEED to beat the game to do so.

Hm, that's interesting. But yeah, I'm gonna give it a try!

Also in case I would somehow fail (or for example would want the temple or similar objects that are a bit harder/time consuming to achieve), would it be alright for you to share your files with me? Basically what I would be asking for then is the .obj and .dds of the object so that it would be possible for me to do a straight conversion into TS2.

Oh, when I looked at the Bustin Out mod you had done for G-Mod it struck me: You don't happen to have those files left? Because then it would be a lot of saving in time if I started with the objects that you have already ripped from the game.

i still do,some of them need fixing(mainly the sims and the country class chairs) but i would've assumed you thought of a object if i had ripped it or not, besides, incase things do not work out you don't want a bunch of useless files cluttering your pc/mac,do you?

Just wanted to say thanks for saying the programs you've used lol, gonna try this on the urbz, I'll post back here if I get any results ;)

I successfully ported over a couple scenes into blender and I found a plugin that fixed the scales and supposedly added the right textures but my results were a bit odd.

You mentioned textures issues, how do you fix it?

Nearly all the textures don't work. I'm using Blender though I think you're using 3ds max so that might be why I'm having a problem. I might have to install 3ds max 2011, can you link me the plugin for that version that imports the scenes correctly?

i forgot where to get the plugin.but i will say you'll need a .3dr import plugin,3dsmax(11 reccommended as thats what i use to import them) also do note this:you'll need to set the import options like the improt height and width(avalible via a dropdown tab in the importer) then work on them from there.

Okay, I did it in 3ds max 2010 (couldn't get 2011) and I tried bustin out instead of urbz and here's my results:

http://prntscr.com/dqfi2s

I still get a lot of black stuff and some broken textures, did you get this too?
you gotta click the black parts and delete them, sometimes importers do that.
