Save location?

Does this game have the option to save at several different points built-in, like in most visual novels and RPGs, or the player should manually copy and paste save files via Windows Explorer in order to reload?

I like gamebooks and well told stories. Just some suggestions going off the screenshots so far..(this applies to the other versions) Would be nice if there was an option for the player to change the color of the choice buttons. Purple or pink (whatever it is) just looks horrible to me. I would like to change it to say light grey or blue. It wouldn't be hard to add this little feature in. The world map looks like its washed out and low res. Not a good look at all. This is one thing that needs to look go...
