In what month will the game update again? And will there be any new weapons coming?

So I'm playing on Map 2 for my first major play-thru. I've spent the last 2 days running on foot to check every vendor, none has any Car Repair Kits. It is said the central west most vendor has them but they had none. Do I wait for vendor inventories to update? Has anyone else noticed there are just times when there are in fact NO repair kits on the map at all?...

just got back playing after a break got to my first house and an alarm went off got jumped by around 10 zombies soldiers cops i mean wtf the car alarms were annoying but this is just stupid cant get a start for getting jumped everytime you loot somewhere

I went to make a bunch of Planks, but made the mistake of making a ton of Building Hammers. I can't dismantle the hammers, but I see I can make a Garbage Can. Can I put the hammers in the Garbage Can?... is it like a Recycle Bin? Is there any way to get the materials back from the hammers?...
