I played this in VR with the UEVR mod + the 'behind the shoulder view' game update, which take the game to a whole new level of immersion. I was very surprised by the quality of this title, really polished and excellent in pretty much every aspect. VR made it even more special and almost felt as if the game was always meant to be played that way.



THE GOOD
- Superb artistic design
- Great sound
- Fantastic puzzles with just the right amount of difficulty
- Exploration is great, the way places connect to each other, the views, everything about it makes exploring the town a real pleasure
- Very interesting story until the end (which I didn't quite understand, truth be told)
- I loved having to go back to the house from time to time, it felt real and it made me feel I was really a part of that world)
- The weather changes was a very nice touch
- Great graphics (that look way more amazing in VR where you can really appreciate all the work that was put into them). Lots of memorable places like the Church.
- It offers a relatively small town but it's packed with things to see and places to visit which IMO just works much better than a much bigger place where roaming around could become boring or repetitive. Perfect size to make you feel immersed in the story it tells, I loved that.

THE BAD
- The ending. I didn't particularly enjoy it and would have liked a better explanation of what happened. Not bad in a way that ruined the game, far from that, but it just wasn't up to the quality of everything else up to that point.

THE UGLY
- Combat. Not bad but nothing too special either, just ok. It's not an action game so even if it was removed completely the game would have been just as good. It offers some nice change of pacing from the exploration, though, so it was fine, I kind of enjoyed it despite not being by any means the best part about the game.

I deeply enjoyed this game and will be looking forward to any new projects by this team. It was a fantastic exploration/puzzle game which reminded me in many ways of the old Resident Evil games, which is a big compliment, by the way. Certainly a must-have title if you're into good exploration and puzzles.

The 'behind the back' camera option should have been there from the beginning, it makes the game way more immersive that way though the fixed-view system is also very well done and even more reminiscent of the RE games I was mentioning before. A matter of preference but personally even though I love the classic style I prefer the behind the shoulder perspective.

And if you can play this in VR please do so, it enhances everything about the game in a way that turns it into something truly special. the mod works perfect with it, no tinkering needed, no issues whatsoever. Press a button and you're good to go, totally worth it, it's like playing a different game almost.

Congrats to the team for their game, it should be way more popular than it is.
