Good game up until the mission GILBERTS LANDING. MOST DIFFICULT level, tried over 100 times to beat the level never have I really gave it a shot over and over to beat the level. soon as battle starts you are being attacked by a HIGH LVL squadron that sets hallf ur ship on fires and floods than ur escort is being attacked by ANOTHER HIGH LVL and always sinks a ship. Get to the 2nd part of mission and they say ♥♥♥♥ you 4 to 5 HIGH LVL Squadrons attacking you along with a sub you know its always over when u have 2 Skull squadrons attacking you and everyone hitting you within a second of each wave, not to mention you trying to keep ur allies alive but they always die. NERF the AMOUNT of planes attacking you and their lvl and give you more time before ally fleet enters the mission 2 weeks on the same lvl uninstalled no more headache stress or irritation DO NOT BUY BETTER GAMES YOU WONT GET PAST THAT LVL

Hello everyone.

Well where to start...

Lets get to the baseline:

The game is not what the Vids may suggest you. Its a very simple Time Management Game. Its core Gameplay is to launch your Airplanes and get them back before they run out of Fuel.

Each kind of Missiontype (Airstrike, Scouting, CAP and so forth) has a Timecounter that runs down as soon as your squardrons have lift off. Therefore when they come back you need to have a clear Flightdeck for the Planes to land. The major Difficulty comes with the Coordination of sending Planes off (wich takes its Time) and getting Planes back to land on your carrier (wich also takes Time).
Sound not spectacular but it is XD

If you dont want to loose Squadrons just by Missmanagement you will have to reload a early save sometimes.

Attacking Targets was a bit unusual for me cause you do it with a Card system.

You have 5 slots in wich you can put different Cards wich have different Stats and different special Abilities. In that Case Magic the Gathering comes in Mind cause every Card has a Attack and a Devense Stat. And then has Abilities like "Slot 1 & 5 get a 100% Attack Bonus" or so.
Mixed together well... at the end will come out a complete Stat of your Airstrike like: Attack 98 and Defense 154.
That now will placed against the Stats of your Target like: Attack 146 - 169 and Defense 108 - 122
The outcome in this Case is that you might loose a squadron and destroy almost all of the enemy Targets.

When getting attacked you have also several Gizmos to prefent your Carrier or Strikegroup to get damaged.
Under the bottom line there are several scenarios:

Airstrike against your Carrier or Strikegroup (wich can be a normal Airstrike or a Suicide Strike) or a submarine Attack.
While the Sub Attack is answered by two squadrons of dive Bombers to make the Sub feel welcome... the Airattacks have to be answered differently:
Each one (CV and Strikegroup) has a devensive Stat that can get boosted by special Abilities of your Commanders or your strikegroup itself.
Goal is to get the same or a higher devensive Stat on your Carrier or Strikegroup than the launched Attack against you has.
This system by itself can also get into a Timemanagement setting cause all your Abilities have a duration Time and a cool down Time. If there are several Attacks launched against you, a good Management is needed to bring you home savely.

So now to the bugs.
The only real bug i have experianced was that after closing the game after a session, it sometimes never stopped to run in my Steam Libary. That caused also my computer to not shut down propperly with the only Solution to solve the issue by taking off power from my grid brutally. That is not fun.

I so far also experianced a "Issue" where i have cleared mission objective 2 before i did 1, wich lead to the situation that i even if i afterwards have theoreticaly cleared objective 1 ... in my missionchecklist 1 didnt got cleared .. wich frustratingly leaded to the outcome that after hours of missionduration i came to the final checkpoint (reaching the escape square of the map) and couldnt finish the mission cause 1 was not cleared in the checklist.
That happened once and if you know that, you will do the objectives one after another (wich usualy will happen anyways) and nothing bad is going to happen.

There are "Action Cameras" for the actual visualisation of the battles but ... weeeell its not realy pleasant to watch them and somtimes they are even glitchy and ... well i never watched them after the first to times.

So for me i see my carrier, i do my management stuff and be happy with it.
I play very carefully with the time lapsing Tool cause if you get to greedy or to impatient you will regret it deffinitely... what i guess is the reason for some of the reviewers getting frustrated with.

There are also some very irritating things happening on your Carrier that should "normaly" not happen... the whole process of queueing the processes of sending Planes off and getting them back down and how they get processed on your Flightdeck is somewhat illogical... BUT

This is a timemanagement game. Its not a detailed simulation by itself. Therefore its the game rules with wich you have to deal with. Dont expect the game being logical and give you accuarate choices in all ways. Its simply not that.

I had and have alot Fun with it after i accepted those Circumstances. But i know it wont be a thing for:

- Die hard Simulator fans
- Gamers who cant accept the rules a game producer slips over his product
- Gamers who love alot of action packed Cinematics

If you like a pretty chilly time management simulator thats rules sometimes can be anoying but otherwise has a nicely thought through mission set for such a game. Welcome :)
Its also a good game for you know... just hop in for ... even if it is half an hour and then go away again... even though it can get catchy if you click to it.. and cause you a heavy time loss if you play it in a chill way (meaning not overclicking the timelaps buttons all the time XD)
