I'd like to play this with my Grandson. Do both of us have to buy the game or can my Grandson play it through my family sharing?

So my friend and me have been playing this game for a while, then the level glitched out on us. We both only saw the background art, with no level design. So we went to the main menu to load in anew. It fixed it for the host, but the client always has a black screen now. A black screen that does show the menu when i hit the escape key. The host sees the other player moving. This game is a terrifying memory hog. After playing for just 15 minutes, my computer was brought to a crawl. There's no reason a simple platformer/puzzler -- especially one which looks so drab and undetailed -- should be so demanding on resources.

Title, when I close SteamVR it closes the game. This is obnoxious.
