After 4hrs for my first playthrough the game left me with mixed feelings. Every single person in the game seems to be written in an overly dramatic way. Everything around the MC feels intense (either 5 or 1 star ratings, srsly?) and staged, especially at the moments when choices are locked because of this emotion-device you are forced to wear.

After getting scammed by the guy that "just got out of prison" and meeting him the second time when he was scamming someone else on the 2nd day I thought I knew what kind of message the game wanted to sent - trust noone else, everyone else cares only for themselves, stay true to your own moral compass.

And in the end this was it, only in a meaner, more twisted kind of psychological warfare. Your "best friend" that ghosted you for 7 days and only messages you when she needs some dirty work done ends up stabbing you in the back. Wasn't a big surprise for me, with red flags all over the place since the moment someone mentioned "everyone fell in love with her". The concept/idea behind the plot was interesting but it failed to deliver. I actually didn't care, not for the city, not for the people, not for the big bad corpo the MC was so mad about all the time.

Life isn't fair. And noone ever said that it was.

It felt like this game tried to find reasons for everyone to be mad about "stuff" and just to vent about it all the time. And that dragged me down a lot while playing it, mostly because of the whole "must think about my star rating" and the service-job dilemma. I worked in this sector for years and the game felt like a chore - maybe because the only thing that felt real were the cruel customers.
