The hope is gone. It's never going to be finished. It's been nearly 6 years and we've gotten a handful of new locations, very little in terms of bugfixes for issues that have been known since launch such as the constant freezes that occur every few seconds that make playing some games absolute hell, or really in terms of new games. Instead the developer spends their time making low poly malls full of pointless stores, mini-golf games that don't really function, and adding 1-2 new machines but even then it's usually a re-skin of another similar game. "Oh, don't like this coin dropper? Try this slightly altered coin dropper!" Which would be fine...if we were at a point where there was a huge gamut of games to choose from. But each arcade rarely feels unique because there's so many repeat machines across the town. Like each arcade has MAYBE two unique machines and the rest are represented somewhere else.

I get that they can't make every single machine unique, and having some repeats of popular games is fine. It just sucks when you have to walk outside, sit through a loading screen, then another small loading screen, then a waiting animation, then walk into the store into another loading animation (Longer the first time because of table randomization), just to access a different arcade, and by the time you sit through all that, you get treated to a bunch of the same machines as the place you just left.

Honestly, I'd much rather the game be a giant box room with neon-stripe carpeting, some low lighting levels, and all of the machines in one place so that people can play whatever they want whenever they want without having to go through 6 screens to play one different machine.

That, and it would make optimization easier since constantly freezing during games that involve timing is disgustingly annoying, to the point that every time I re-download the game and come back, I end up leaving frustrated because it still isn't fixed after almost 6 years of reporting the bug and the developer saying over and over that they're going to work on it....

Which leads us to another promise that never got fufilled.


The developer said "Multiplayer is already in the game, I just haven't turned it on."...back in 2021.

over 3 years later and still.... "Don't worry I'm still working on it."

I just don't have any hope anymore. It's gone. At this point, even if Multiplayer launched tomorrow, it wouldn't matter. Nobody cares because we can all see how lazy the developer. People drowned them in money, and they blew it without following through.

Like, Just so you understand how little interest there is, in the 16 hours I've been playing, I've been staying in the top 3000 players fairly consistently, and after taking a year and a half break and being pushed out into the tens of thousands, and playing for about....2 hours, I was already back to where I was. And if I were to just sit and farm for another 30 minutes, I'd probably be in the top 1000. At the very tippy-top there's people who have modded/hacked/cheated themselves tickets, but in the reasonable range, it's just sheer hours spent....and yet with 16 hours, which is not THAT long of a play-time for a game like this, where it's supposed to be getting ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. And yet the only method of competition is tickets, and the game isn't stable enough for competition to mean anything other than luck with freezes and hoping your coin hits the same way it did the first time you fired at that exact angle because the physics break sometimes. Sometimes it's in your favor. I've had the Mermaids in the Space Coin-pusher just repeatedly spit the point tokens right back into the goal and that could be a HUGE amount of tickets if it just happens repeatedly over a single play.

So there's no competition, there's no co-operation because the games are all single-player.....This just wasn't thought through.

And again, with the ONE COMPETITIVE OPTION being "Hours spent", nobody took that bait, so getting up to the tops is incredibly easy. There's no real competition there.
