Cool, not really interested in paying for this and the physical LCG. It seems shady to market the game as free to play and then change it at the last second. Not super happy about that. I'll continue playing what I have access to, but I'm not spending a dime on anything past what I already have.

I don't like the change regarding Palanir views, Palantir views should have been left in the game, this way people who know to manipulate statistics are punished.
I hope that the price in money and VP will be reduced, prices in VP for most expensive cards are too high.
Some changes are good, like those for hero packs coming with full play set of supporting cards.
I wouldn't like to be pushed away from this game by price. Barely made my LCG collection near complete...

I think you should look at converting leftover palantir for people automatically. If I hadn't happened by the forum today, I would be very unhappy to discover my palantir gone without compensation. Palantir received was not just from earned play, but also part of what you paid for based on your tier of purchase.

Great decision. Thank you!

One more comment. You should send message to all EA players to use those palantir views. I stumbled in this announcement by pure accident. And there can be many more who were saving palantir views for the next card releases!
I am quite sure that they will not be happy to find out that they should have read this threath and use those views... It would be better to put a letter/message to all users so they may find out that time is runninning out!

sad i was looking forward to try the game when it went f2p

@hannibal_pjv but I also hoped for a bigger community. With a well done f2p system they could have managed to get a big community, and most of the f2p players would have also spent real money instead of farming a lot. Imo they just needed to balance it in a better way, not to change it to a total pay to play system ( yeah yeah encounters are free and look, they are the hardest mode in the game..)

I agree with Saint Scylla. Free to play does not work with single player games...
So to my ears this change sounds good.
I was saving my palantir views for new content and did buy cards by using VP. But that is not a big issue.
Nice to hear that there will be new content before the real release. Really wainting that multiplayer feature even more. But in the meantime. Nice to get some new content to fidle with!

I'm agreeing with Inquisitor (and others) here.
I'm perfectly fine with removing the free-to-play and having a entry fee as well as the removal of the Palantir Views, but please DO NOT go full conventional release with this game! You cannot expect players to want to pay cash for more content in the game outside the core set. All I imagine that this will serve to do is act like content paywalls (which are just as egregious as 'loot boxes', which this game didn't feel like it had in the first place).

Hopefully this is just a misunderstanding based on lack of details, but this move feels more like punishment instead of rewarding your Early Access players, those who have been grinding the current quests, effectively helping with the testing and balancing of the game. All that time just to be able to buy 'valor cards' doesn't seem that much of a reward.
That said... I'm still very much in love with this game and looking forward to more of it.

Btw, I hope the hero packs and the adventure packs are not bundled together, I'd like to decide for myself what I do and do not want.
